Master Meow - Chapter 67
Chapter 67: What Happened to Wells?
As soon as they arrived home, the rain began to diminish and soon disappeared, just as suddenly as it came.
After the dark clouds slowly dissipated, the sun then revealed itself from behind, showing the clear blue sky from which a rainbow gradually appeared, one after another.
After a while, one could see a total of three overlapping rainbows, with one bigger than the others. They had nearly filled up the entire sky.
Wells made a few strides back to the stone castle, jumped on to the roof, and stood on the spire.
Looking at the scenery, Lu Qiu held the mobile phone that could no longer be used in her hands, wishing that she could turn it on and capture this wonderful sight.
Perhaps, Wells could sense what she was thinking because at this moment, he also turned his personal device on and activated the filming mode. Afterward, he lifted Lu Qiu and took a lot of pictures of her profile.
After taking several shots, Wells’ photography skills had greatly improved. In the photo, one could see a small black-haired young woman sitting happily in front of the camera while looking far into the distance. In front of her, there laid a vast green field and the scattered dark clouds that were floating in the dark blue sky, forming a strong color contrast with the three rainbows that stretched across the sky.
Wells skillfully uploaded these photos to his social media. After that, he opened the rooftop window and sent Lu Qiu down. Then, he stood on the roof and dried himself by shaking his fur wildly.
After shaking the water off, which roughly dried his fur, he also jumped back into the house.
Perhaps, because there was no shower gel or hair conditioner, after getting drenched, the smooth and elegant hair had returned to its fierce and messy appearance. His fur wasn’t even completely dry, but now, he was all puffed up like a wandering lion. His current appearance made his body look twice bigger.
Seeing the new look of the giant cat had made Lu Qiu stunned for a while. It looks too wild, just like a wild cat.
After wandering around the room for quite a while, she suddenly ran into the kitchen, stood on tiptoes, and opened the wide cupboards one by one.
The kitchen was the only place where they stored things for daily use, so it should be here. Even the shower gel back then was stuffed in the cupboard, she should be able to find the comb here somewhere.
Ruth did buy a lot of hair products; besides the frequently used shower gel, he also bought a hair conditioner, hair volumizer, hair mousse, and hair spray. All of which had never been taken out.
Furthermore, there was also an automatic hair dryer, automatic hair styling machine, paw’s pad massage instrument, and an ear cleaner instrument downstairs.
But Wells hardly ever used these things. At most, he would only use the shower gel because it could wash the bloodstains away. He would take a container out occasionally whenever he needed to use it, but as for the other hair products, he wouldn’t even spare them a glance.
Thus, after she opened the cupboard, Lu Qiu found a pile of unopened bottles and jars inside.
She hesitated for a while, then grabbed the board and climbed up with great difficulty. Although there were patterns on the bottles, it was still impossible for Lu Qiu to know that they were all hair care products.
Unexpectedly, she saw a huge comb among the bottles and jars deep inside the cupboard. At first glance, it looked like a cleaning brush made of glass. However, the brush had a soft and fine texture combined with dense long serrations, its head was round and had a massaging effect, while the length of the handle could also be adjusted.
The brush was so clean that there was not a single strand of cat fur on it as if it had never been used before.
Oh! It was indeed an unused one.
The Capital Star has four distinct seasons. Summertime was so hot that a lot of animals have to shed their fur to survive. Wells would also start shedding his fur during early summer, prompting the cleaning robot to always follow him wherever he goes.
After coming to the Giant Rock Star, where the summer season isn’t too hot, Wells no longer shed as much fur as he did back in the Capital Star. Naturally, the comb was then rendered useless ever since.
Wells was reluctant to be groomed by others, so he always took care of himself. Nevertheless, there were still some places where he couldn’t take care of and remained to spout out. As a result, there were a lot of hair care products readily available in the house.
Lu Qiu carefully climbed down with the comb in her hands. But just when she was about to jump off the kitchen table, she remembered the scissors she had used on making her clothes.
After a moment’s hesitation, she decided to take the scissors out with her.
Meanwhile, Wells was comfortably lying in the cat’s nest, washing his face and licking his fur. When he found the little pet coming out of the kitchen, he looked up at her and saw the comb in her hand. In that moment, Wells suddenly stiffened and stopped all his movements.
How did this thing get taken out?
Later on, the giant cat’s fur had dried and no longer looked as limp anymore. However, the fur was still fiercely all over the place, seemingly disheveled.
Lu Qiu came out with scissors because she wanted to give the cat a haircut.
She had a friend who runs a pet store and a veterinary clinic. After the death of her last cat, she had never raised a cat again. Nonetheless, she would occasionally visit the store to help her busy friend with bathing and trimming cat’s nails. She had also practiced shearing a cat’s fur several times before, and her skill was considered decent. Although it might not end up in an extremely good result, she could definitely cut the fur neatly. It was better than looking all disheveled.
After she climbed up to the cat’s nest, Lu Qiu tentatively put the comb on the giant cat’s leg and brushed it gently.
She didn’t expect that the moment the comb had touched his fur, the giant cat, who was just looking leisurely, suddenly jumped as if it had been greatly frightened with his fur raising furiously. He then quickly flew far away, pasted his body on the ceiling, and refused to come down.
