Master Meow - Chapter 39

Chapter 39: Learning to Ride a Chair 

In fact, he had long been indifferent about how others thought of his appearance. In the face of absolute power, those rumors and slanders thrown at him were empty. If one didn’t like it, then thrash it well. 

After a while, Lu Qiu gave up and stopped jumping. She was panting and sweating. Yet unexpectedly, she didn’t feel particularly tired. Instead, it was only how stretching felt like after an exercise. 

In spite of falling ill several times, Lu Qiu still felt incredible. 

She wiped the sweat on her forehead and loosened the sheets that had been wrapped on her body for a breather. Lu Qiu then touched the silky sheet. The cloth’s material was very good. She wanted to make a few clothes for herself. In addition, she could conveniently make some underwear too. However, it seemed that she might need a little effort to make some underwear. 

Just where can I find the needle, thread, and scissors? She scratched her head in distress. 

Just then, she looked up and saw Ruth appeared with some weird looking stuff in his arms. 

He laid that thing in front of Lu Qiu and quickly stood aside.
 

According to Lu Qiu’s understanding, it was something like an inverted simple round metal stool, in which the three legs at the bottom were fixed by a ring. The difference was this simple metal round stool was a little bigger. 

Just as when Lu Qiu was pondering about its uses, Wells suddenly carried her and settled her down on it.  

Lu Qiu stood in the middle of the stool, bewildered. To her surprise, the extra-large round stool began to shrink towards the middle and finally reduced to the size that was only enough for her to stand alone. 

“Lift-chair activated.” Wells once again grabbed and lifted the stool. Didn’t know which button he had pushed, but the stool flew up. 

That’s right! It flew! Even though it was only thirty centimeters above the ground. 

Lu Qiu tightly grasped the edge of the handrail. She watched how the stool slowly rose, flew to the top of Wells’ head, and began to move from left and right while it twirled in the room.　　 

“Sit down,” Wells said, looking at the stool. 

Then, a soft cushion suddenly appeared under Lu Qiu bottoms. She sat on it, and the backrest fitted the curve of her back perfectly. It’s very comfortable. It’s a bit like a sightseeing car. 

Lu Qiu flew with the chair for a while and landed on the ground again. Her face showed nothing like fear, except for her abundance of interest towards the stool. 

This current height was nothing to her who had been tormented by the giant cat several times.
 

Wells saw that she was fine. He patiently taught her how to use the lift-chair. 

In addition to voice control, there were control buttons on the edge of the handrail. This thing was originally made to be used indoors by the animals who were not tall enough. Therefore, it could only fly at a limited height and slow speed. However, it was very safe, and the cubs could also use it. 

The giant cat pressed the buttons one by one, then the various functions were displayed one after another. He slowly read the command words while teaching Lu Qiu. 

It didn’t take long for  Lu Qiu to fully control the flying chair by herself. Finally, she was now able to move around freely within the castle. 

Ruth had to admit that this pet was really smart. 

She was playing with the flying chair until near lunchtime. Their lunch this time had more vegetables, and some different fresh meat was added. Like always, the meat still had blood on it, and she still had no idea what kind of animal it was. 

Lu Qiu now thinks that this world was terrible as they didn’t seem to have the concept of not eating raw meat.  

She didn’t feel like eating the fruit anymore. But before she could finish her meal, she saw the two giant beasts suddenly stopped eating and began to communicate with serious faces. 

“Lord Earl, someone from Fallen Star Forest had come to request help.” 

“What’s the matter?” 

“A party consisting of 30 jackals was hunting inside the forest. Many animals have died and need you to deal with them immediately.” 

Alright.” Wells got up immediately. However, before he left, he looked back at Lu Qiu and Ruth. “Take care of her at home. I’ll be back soon.” 

As the Lord of the nearby territory, the peace and order of the land were all under Wells’ control. Although it was okay to freely hunt animals here, this kind of slaughter was absolutely not allowed. 

“My Lord, I’ll go with you.” Ruth disapproved. As a bodyguard and steward, he should go with him. 

Yet, Wells rejected him. 

“No need.” 

“My Lord, you have a lot of follow-up things after you kill the jackals. Just leave them to me, so that you can come back quickly without delay.” 

Wells thought about it repeatedly. Finally, he nodded. 

Then Lu Qiu saw that the two giant beasts suddenly jumped out of the window and left together. 

This…Is this the master going out and leaving the pet to guard this empty house alone? 

No! This is the taste of freedom! 

In her excitement, Lu Qiu immediately climbed on the lift and took the food to the kitchen.
