Chapter 38: The Beginning of Live Broadcast 

Regardless of Ruth’s opinion, Wells insisted on teaching the little pet a few more times until she could pronounce the correct pronunciation.  

Lu Qiu concluded in her heart that the name Mimi might not be suitable for the giant cat. 

She didn’t know that she was given an immune booster, but soon after she woke up, she felt refreshed. She didn’t feel dizzy, nor did she need to spend a breath to go on the fifth floor. She was in an unprecedentedly good state. 

It was a wonderful feeling. She even felt confident that she would never fall again if she got off the table. 

She could only sigh at how highly effective the medicine was in this world— like a legendary magic potion of the immortals. 

Wells finally could set his heart at peace after he saw that she was lively again. 

Only then, when he laid down, did he notice that the things at home were too high for the little pet. It was inconvenient for her to go up and down.
 

He turned his head and called Ruth, who was standing near his feet. 

Ruth took a breath before he politely asked for confirmation, “Do we need to prepare a lift for the little pet? Is it fine in case she takes the opportunity to escape? 

Wells’ tone was light but, he was extremely confident: “Who else can escape from my hands? Besides, I’m sure she wouldn’t.” 

They had been getting along with each other in those two days. In Ruth’s eyes, Lu Qiu was rather strange. However, he also knew it well that his Lord, Wells, was not a person that was particularly easy to persuade. He only said, “Of course, My Lord, I’m going to prepare the lift. But for animals that can’t fly, this kind of thing might make them feel scared. At that time, My Lord needs to be more patient.” 

Wells nodded. The last thing he’s lacking now was patience. 

“She’s quite intelligent and well-behaved. It is unlikely that she will react aggressively.” 

Wells’ eye filter was so thick that Ruth decided to stop pursuing the matter and went to buy an automatic elevator, which was available within the Giant Rock Star planet. Therefore, it didn’t take a long time before it was delivered. 

Lu Qiu didn’t know that the lift was purchased online and might arrive this afternoon. The sun was shining down from the sky, making it warm all around. She wasn’t as cold as in the morning, so she walked curiously around the big room with her bare feet. 

At this time, Lu Qiu was particularly curious. Yesterday, within the giant cat’s room, there seemed to be a chamber she had yet to explore. 

Out of curiosity, Lu Qiu slipped in to stroll around. The door wasn’t closed tightly, and with a little effort, she pushed the door open and got in.
 

As if he was just taking his own children out for a walk, Wells followed her leisurely while watching as she entered the room. He sat not far from the door, without stopping nor following in. 

The room was in a mess, with huge glasses and helmets on the ground, a huge square box in one corner, and a strange-looking shelf, like something half-finished where it’s impossible to tell what it was for. 

Lu Qiu picked up the glasses randomly. They looked very strange—the legs of the glasses were on the forehead instead of the ears on both sides. It was probably designed for animals. 

The helmet was also very cute with it’s two pink ears protruding from the top. 

Lu Qiu couldn’t help but imagine Wells wearing them. It’s really cute. 

Lu Qiu thought that since these things were high-tech products, they would certainly have the same special effects and uses like the ones seen in movies. However, she couldn’t find the start button after touching it several times, so she could only give up. 

After she turned around, she was ready to get out of the room. However, just before she could go out, she found a small silver metal ball with the size of a table tennis ball. On top of that, it had a decorative pattern on it. 

Lu Qiu picked the ping-pong-like ball and took it out with her. 

It was one of the few unique things she had seen in this place. Moreover, the size was small for her. 

When he saw the ball, Wells thought for a while and finally remembered what it was. 

This was a live ball used for live broadcasting. He remembered— it was a gift from London. Naturally, this gift didn’t bring many good memories. 

After all, he had always been the ugliest in the family. Thus, he never wanted to expose himself to the camera. On the other hand, London was a famous Internet star. By sending an instrument for live broadcasting, London was mocking him implicitly. 

The whole citizens of the Animal Kingdom knew that Felix The Great had three sons, but no one had ever seen the third one, and now, his existence had already faded from their memories. It was all about the big prince, the second prince, and the most beloved little princess. 

Only a few people knew that the Earl of Wells, who was assigned to Rock Star, was the third prince. 

Wells remembered that after he received the gift, he was so angry that he threw it out of the window. It seemed that Ruth had picked it up and stored it in the room. 

On the other hand, Lu Qiu was studying the small ball. The metal ball feels very light, but it was well integrated, and there were no joint traces, while the decorative pattern on it looked like a painting. She traced the lines with her fingers, and somehow she heard a click, and the ball instantly expanded. 

She was startled! Her first reaction was to throw the ball out and then quickly back off. 

But the little ball that was thrown out didn’t fall to the ground as she expected. Instead, it grew a pair of small wings and flew into the air like the snitch in Harry Potter with a pair of bright black eyes and red eyelids. It seemed to be a mechanical bird. 

Aah~ It turned out to be a toy. Seems like the giant cat also liked to play with these little toys. 

Thinking about the scene of the giant cat pouncing on the bird, Lu Qiu once again wanted to cover her mouth and squeal, “How cute~!”. 

The flying ball flew not too far nor near Lu Qiu and followed her as if it had identified her. 

When she moved forward, it would also move forward. When she moved back, it would also follow. 

Lu Qiu looked up for a moment, jumped up, and reached out to catch it. The ball flew high with great tact. It was flying right in the place where it seems it could be caught but couldn’t be caught. 

Nevertheless, when she jumped up again, the ball would also fly high. So, she waited in the ground for a while, and the ball eventually fell down again.  

Lu Qiu: “…” 

What kind of retarded toy bird is this? How irritating. She couldn’t catch it at all! 

Hence, she kept jumping and falling empty-handed for a period of time. Thus, she stomped her feet as she was infuriated by the ball.
