Chapter 33: A Pretty Good Life

She had made up her mind that she would eat it without chewing, but unexpectedly, the meat was a little sweet though it wasn’t soft. The meat was a little q-shaped, like a jelly.

Surprisingly, it tastes delicious!

Her eyes brightened and Wells’ mouth formed an upward arc.

Ruth was stunned by their interaction.

Since when did the two get so close?

He thought it was amazing that this little pet didn’t fear his Lord at all, to the point Wells would have such patience to feed the little pet.

Since Lu Qiu liked it, Wells decided to take a bite of it, tear it off, and feed it to Lu Qiu.

Now that the fish was only left with only its head, tail, and internal organs, Lu Qiu was stunned silly. It turned out that she had eaten a lot of raw fish meat.

The taste of this meat would be better once it was made into fried fish, braised fish, fish balls, and so on.

Imagining delicious foods made her drool a bit. She swallowed her saliva then took a small bite of fruit, removing the taste of fish in her mouth.

As she didn’t brush her teeth all this time, she felt that the food scraps in her mouth were about to ferment.

Wells was a big cat. Surely, he had a large appetite. After eating the fish, he devoured the white meat from the firewood. The texture of the meat was harder than yesterday’s, but the giant cat easily chewed it into pieces.

This time, after noticing that the little pet was staring at his mouth again, Wells opened his mouth directly. He pinched a lump of chewed meat and handed it to her. Lu Qiu was so surprised that she quickly waved back.

She lamented that if she ever had a chance to raise a cat, she would never chew for her kittens again.

Ruth cleaned up the plates and left. Wells took her off the table, carrying her away. Then, he jumped on the windowsill with her.

The sight of the windowsill made Lu Qiu recall last night’s terrible experience.

Do you want to play such exciting things right after eating? Are you not afraid to spit out all the things you just ate?

She wanted to struggle but she found that Wells didn’t jump down. This windowsill was different. This one was more like a floating window. It was very wide. The giant cat just laid down on it.

Wells put her on his back and laid down comfortably. His front paws were out of the window and his tail was swinging in the air.

There was no guardrail outside. Lu Qiu was quite afraid at first, so she just laid at the back of the giant cat and didn’t move. But after a while, she slowly moved towards the head of the cat and found that the giant cat remained still. She fixed her gaze at the head of the cat and gently touched it with her tiny hand.

Look, such a perfectly smooth and round back head!

Fluffy and soft. My hands are stuck in this giant cat’s fluffy fur.

It was hard to describe that feeling. Lu Qiu’s hands shuttled among the furs for a while. She put more strength in her hands. Her hand gesture, rubbing up and down, was like combing the cat’s fur.

The giant cat made a comfortable purr.

Lu Qiu’s eyes lit up. Both of her hands gently massaged the big cat’s head.

The purr was getting louder. Now the giant cat laid down comfortably with all its limbs stretched out.

As his head moved, Lu Qiu couldn’t help but move along.

Originally, she sat on the top of his head. His movements had made her lean to the side, almost falling down from his head. Thus, she held onto the big cat’s ear.

She had coveted these two big ears, which had been stuck in the pile of fur, for a long time.

She reached out and touched them gently. Both ears started to shake.

Lu Qiu contentedly leaned her chin against the cat’s ear, so she lay on the cat’s head and looked out.

The morning sun rose slowly. The green grassland at the far distance seemed to be shrouded in a thin mist. Under the clear blue sky, the green prairie was like an oil painting. Occasionally, a bird would cut through the mist, but like a stone that was thrown into the water, it would soon disappear.

It was a very quiet and beautiful atmosphere.

Lu Qiu unconsciously indulged herself in such a beautiful and unreal scenery.

As the sun rose, so did the surrounding temperature began to rise.

Her body became warmer under the warm sun.

Wells snored. He didn’t know since when; he just closed his eyes and fell asleep. His tail swung from high-frequency shaking to occasional flicking.

When his breathing sound was heard, Lu Qiu narrowed her eyes involuntarily.

At this moment, she thought that the way she lived here was also pretty good.

She didn’t need to worry about not having enough money nor about going to work tomorrow. She didn’t have to face her colleagues and stupid bosses. She didn’t have to think about the dregs of N boats. All the things that she was worried about, everything that made her depressed, all her worries about depression, the loss of meaning of existence.

She just needed to eat well, drink well, and wear something warm to live.

She closed her eyes but didn’t sleep long because the giant cat’s snore was too loud, like the sound of a loud horn.

Lu Qiu squinted her eyes comfortably for a while and then got up. She gently released her hand from the giant cat’s neck, and slowly slid along the back of the giant cat to the edge of the windowsill. The giant cat wasn’t awakened, and its snoring was getting even louder and more powerful.

She wanted to go down, but the windowsill was too high. It was higher than the three-meter high cat’s nest. Furthermore, there was no place to ease her landing.

She was suffering in agony after some time. Her eyes suddenly turned to the tail, which hung under the windowsill, that was no longer swinging.

This big tail. It’s good. It’s really good!

However, imagination was quite different from reality. Lu Qiu’s whole body was falling violently along the tail. It was like the feeling when you’re riding on a roller coaster in the air. She was so scared that her face was about to deform. She shut her mouth off as hard as she could, not making any sound.

Fortunately, the cat’s tail was long enough that she wasn’t injured when she landed on the ground.

She looked up at the cat. The sound of his snoring was much smaller now, but the giant cat didn’t move. There wasn’t any sign that he was going to wake up soon.

With a long sigh of relief, Lu Qiu moved to the kitchen. Actually, she just wanted to take a bath.

It’s better not to have onlookers for things like bathing.

She felt that she was about to die from the stench. From the time she woke up, the two pieces of clothes on her body had not been changed. They were disheveled and sticky. In fact, they were very uncomfortable and dirty.

However, she didn’t have a replacement dress, once it was taken off. She didn’t find anything that could replace her clothes when she ventured around the castle yesterday.

This situation was more difficult to accept than having nothing to eat.

The robot she saw in the kitchen last night was still standing in the corner. When Lu Qiu went in, she found that the robot didn’t activate.

She looked up at the kitchen counter. It was three meters high. She wasn’t completely hopeless.

In this world, she was always anxious about how to get down or climb up.

Humans weren’t really good at climbing, unlike animals.

At this time, Wells, who she thought was still sleeping soundly, suddenly opened his amber eyes.

Did the small pet run away again?

I feel a little excited.
