Chapter 26: Sneakily Snacking

After the cabinet was opened, there was a burst of cold air coming from within. The huge cabinet was divided into various sections. It could be used as a freezer. Moreover, it could provide an oxygen supply for fisheries and other aquatic-based food goods.

Despite that, Wells didn’t have the habit of hoarding meat. He just usually catches what he wanted to eat himself, so only some fresh fruits were stored in the cabinet.

Wells pulled one of the cabinet’s drawers along with his claws and pulled out a box from the inside. The box was about half a meter in size and exuded a very familiar and fragrant flavor.

Lu Qiu was sitting on the kitchen counter, waiting. Wells opened the box nimbly, exposing its contents, pushed the box in front of her, and then he whispered.

“Hurry up! Don’t let Ruth see it.”

Lu Qi couldn’t help swallowing the cheese inside the box.

Wells stretched his claw and cut a piece of cheese. He placed it on the tip of his claw and sent it into Lu Qiu’s mouth. This gesture was very similar to how a human feeds a cat some food with their fingertips.

Lu Qiu looked up and saw that the giant cat was staring at her with a face full of curiosity. There were suspicious water stains on his mouth too, but this might be her hallucination.

She lowered her head and carefully took a bite while holding the cat’s claws. The moment the cheese entered her mouth, she felt that she had flown to heaven. She had eaten so many cheeses. Unexpectedly, this was the best cheese she had ever tasted.

The dense milky taste melted into her mouth, and the fruity flavor was mixed with the milky one. It doesn’t feel greasy at all.

Wells watched her eat the cheese he passed bit by bit. The tip of her tongue would occasionally touch his paws making him feel a little itchy.

Wells couldn’t help but find himself watching the little pet eating a piece of cheese with fascination.

He now had realized the joy of keeping pets.

After eating a piece, the giant cat handed over another piece yet Lu Qiu quickly waved her hand. After all, the cheese was a little braced, and she was not too hungry.

Lu Qiu wasn’t going to eat anymore so Wells lowered his head and carefully licked the leftover cheese on his claws, not even missing a finger. He didn’t eat the cheese because he wanted to. It was because the pieces of cheese in front of him looked small and pitiful, so he ate it quickly.

After Wells was finished, he quickly removed the trace of them eating and the box was thrown into the robot ’s arms. He brought his front paws to the washbasin and carefully washed them clean, he then washed his face while he’s at it.

He sniffed his paws if they still had any cheesy smell left. He cleaned his paws again and stopped only after confirming that there was no more cheese scent left on them.

After that, he turned to see Lu Qiu, who was still sitting on the stove. He couldn’t get over with the idea swirling in his head.

Lu Qiu was sitting quietly. She blinked and didn’t move when suddenly a warm and rough tongue was licking her from left to right.

In her state of confusion, she couldn’t help but lean her head to look up and covered her mouth.

The giant cat had turned his head. He picked up the water with his paws. He squinted his round amber eyes then carefully cleaned the edge of her mouth. He did it all meticulously and seriously.

Lu Qiu finally got the gist that the giant cat was washing her face and hands after eating, even directly helping her to wash her face.

She covered her inner feelings from leaking out1 [javascript:void(0)]Try to adjust her feelings by leaning over to the sink which was larger than the bathtub. She extended her arms to make herself look like she was washing her hands with the water from the sink.

After seeing that Lu Qiu couldn’t reach the water, Wells pawed on the edge of the sink and made the sink tilt a little bit. Now, Liu Qiu could finally reach the shallow water from the sink.

This time, Lu Qiu washed her face and wiped her neck. It was a pity that she couldn’t brush her teeth without the toiletries. She now could smell the unpleasant odor coming out of her mouth.

Since she couldn’t do anything about that, Lu Qiu just tried to lessen the unpleasant odor by washing her face clean. Yet, because her head was facing down, some of her loosen hair got wet with water.

Lu Qiu didn’t care too much and merely shook her hands off to remove the remaining water droplets from her hands.

By this time, Wells had done cleaning himself up. His eyes then turned to Lu Qiu and found that his little pet had water droplets all over her little face and hands. She also got her hair wet.

So he helplessly held her hands and pulled them in front of him.

When she felt the fingertips’ rough touch, Lu Qiu was stunned again, she held her breath trying to calm her heart again.

She was indeed treated as a house pet by this giant cat. He helped her wash both her face and hands. Aah so happy!

After she was wiped clean with water, he took her away from the kitchen.
