The Duchess and the Devil - Chapter 94.2
-Are you not eating at all? – he asked, looking at the tray on which a huge number of dishes fit.
Judith looked away and nodded, regretting that she couldn’t do this, no matter how hard she tried and no matter how her stomach churned with hunger.
– Everything is fine…
“Judith,” Derrick intervened, calling her name.
And the duchess immediately fell silent, as if her voice was filled with magic. The Duke carefully took the grapes and handed them to his wife. She took a bite of it. The sweet and sour taste was something that the girl had not felt for a long time. Whatever she chewed was like sand.
– Give me another one.
Derrick continued to hand feed Duchess until her appetite disappeared. As a result, the entire bunch of grapes was eaten in an instant. Despite the fact that Judith was now eating without problems, she was extremely surprised and even puzzled:
– How?…
But the Duchess tried to stay away from Derrick so that he would not kiss her. After all, she still remembered the recent nausea and felt it in her mouth.
“If it’s not a problem with the body, it’s probably something psychological,” the demon whispered, cupping her cheek and touching the shell of her ear with his lips. “If you keep trying, everything will be okay.” “I’ll help,” he bit his earlobe and buried his face in his shoulder. – If only I knew what you would go through…
Derrick muttered the last words in a dark tone, as if barely containing his anger at himself. The unfinished sentence was impossibly logical. And although he could not come earlier, he still regretted many things. Judith raised her hand and stroked her husband’s hair.
– When did you arrive? – the Duchess asked more cheerfully to drown out the atmosphere.
“Just in time for you to start eating.”
– What kind of food is this? Why did you send it?
Suddenly the bedroom door began to open:
– Lady! I enter.
– Walk around! – Judith shouted, afraid that Derrick would not have time to leave, but he stood behind the door, where she could not see him.
– I am not hungry.
– Are you sure? You missed lunch.
Judith understood that she would not be able to hide the unexpected guest any other way. Moreover, she had already eaten a whole bunch of grapes, so she felt full. Previously, the Duchess skipped every meal, causing her stomach to quickly fill up and become the size of a pea.
Having said this, she handed the tray to the maid.
– Call me if you change your mind.
The Duchess sighed and yawned, as if she really wanted to sleep. And when the door closed, Derrick immediately sat down on the bed, swinging his legs. He behaved just as voluptuously, as if this was not Judith’s bed at all, but his property.
– Why are you still standing there? – asked the demon.
– But… It’s just…
Of course, in front of her was the same Derrick whom she loved, but his appearance was extremely different from what he was already used to. And this shell was not familiar to her. It was fun to hold hands, hug and kiss, but Duchess’s instincts made him hesitate a little.
Judith looked out the window and saw the dark sky, which suddenly turned black.
– When are you coming back?
-What are you talking about?
– When are you going to come back home?
– I’m going to sleep here.
For a moment Judith was at a loss for words, but Derrick said:
“Come here,” he extended his hands to her, unfastening the tie that held his collar together, as if it were extremely inconvenient.
