The Duchess and the Devil - Chapter 93.2
In truth, Judith hesitated to answer, fearing a sharp look. My heart was beating fast.
“I wanted to eat, but I couldn’t.” I didn’t know if you were alive or dead. And the child…
She didn’t like the topic, no matter how much Judith tried to say something about it.
The guilt for not being able to protect a fragile and small life did not go away even after so much time.
“I think it would be better to return home today and rest.” I’ll listen to the rest of the story next time,” Derrick said in a soothing voice, stroking her cheek for a long time.
Judith involuntarily grabbed him as he tried to move away. These words were like a slap in the face.
“I returned alive from hell to meet you,” Derrick kissed both Duchess’s cheeks, not forgetting to gently touch her swollen eyes. – And I will definitely come to you. So for now, go home and rest.
When he whispered this, he immediately lifted Judith’s chin with his fingertips. The Duchess closed her eyes in embarrassment as Derrick’s tongue touched her lips, then slid inside her mouth as if it were his property. The kiss seemed to warm her.
The hand holding her chin secretly moved higher and touched the back of Judith’s head, thus deepening the kiss. Breathing was mixed randomly. At that moment, when the gently touching tongues were properly intertwined, the Duchess hugged his neck.
– Judith, why…
The two, kissing passionately, did not hear the door opening at all. And this scene appeared right in front of Vincent, who came in search of his sister, because she had not left the rest room for too long. Surprised, Judith immediately recoiled from Derrick with a characteristic wet sound that sounded extremely loud in the ensuing silence.
The brother, hard as stone, blinked slowly, then opened his mouth in shock:
– What are you doing here?
Judith was so shocked that she couldn’t say anything. She simply muttered something under her breath, trying to find an excuse, then looked back at Derrick. However, only a mischievous smile played on his lips. Only at that moment did the Duchess understand: the demon knew perfectly well about Vincent’s approach all this time. And in this situation, only she felt embarrassed.

-Are you not going to answer? Will you keep your mouth shut?
Judith sighed, looking at her brother who was walking next to her.
– I already answered.
“And you want me to believe this now?” Did you accidentally kiss the guy you met for the first time?
– Brother! Do you want to spread rumors?
Some people had already opened their eyes wide, as if they had heard the Marquis’s words. All the way from the banquet hall, Vincent insisted that Judith tell him the truth. But the Duchess could not explain their long-term relationship, so she simply tried to pretend that it happened by accident. And, of course, my brother didn’t believe it.
– I am so tired. “Good night,” she said, approaching the bedroom door.
– Judith.
Vincent looked like he had a lot to say. The brother had not yet had time to talk with the Duke himself about what had happened, so he did not know what to think about what had happened. When his sister lay down on the bed and threw on the blanket, Marquis took a deep breath and left the bedroom, deciding to leave the conversation for tomorrow.
Left alone, Judith looked at the dark black sky. Suddenly she accidentally remembered the kiss in the rest room, which made her touch her own lips. The Duchess did not believe that this really happened. And only then did reality, like a dream, reach the depths of her heart.
Derrick finally returned to her.
