Chapter 31: Mixed up (1) 

“Pull them up first.” After the elevator door opened, Gu Yuanyuan waved at Gu Yizhou and showed a big smile. Upon seeing this, Gu Yizhou’s mouth corners could not help but tilt upwards a little. 

With the help of the maintenance personnel, Miao Miao and Lin Jing  succeeded in getting out of danger. When it was Gu Yuanyuan’s turn, Gu Yizhou wanted to go down to help up Gu Yuanyuan himself, but was  stopped by her. 

The maintenance staff also said,”Doctor Gu, you can rest assured that she will be taken out as soon as I get down.” 

Gu Yizhou had no choice but to pay attention to the situation inside the elevator. Even Jiang Yun called and didn’t find it. 

Miao Miao and Lin Jing were not that eager to leave after being rescued. Miao Miao poked Lin Jing,”Yuanyuan’s boyfriend is so handsome.” 

Lin Jing: “…” 

To say that someone else’s man is handsome in front of me?
 

Miao Miao: “He’s sweating because of anxiety. I can tell that he truly loves Yuanyuan 

Lin Jing gritted his teeth: “Dear, didn’t I protect you just now?” 

Miao Miao’s  eyes were still red and swollen. Hearing this she said angrily, “You weren’t as brave as Yuanyuan just now.” 

Lin Jing didn’t want to take care of her. At this moment, the maintenance personnel had already went down to the elevator to help Gu Yuanyuan. They thought it was all right. As a result, they only heard a loud thud as the elevator fell down again. 

“Oh my god.” 

Miao Miao and Lin Jing were shocked, and Miao Miao subconsciously went to see the young man who was called Dr. Gu by the maintenance personnel. Seeing that Dr. Gu almost rushed into the elevator, her mind quivered and she hurriedly held him back.

“It’s okay!” The voice of the maintenance staff came with a lingering fear below, “Pull us up.” 

A minute later, the maintenance personnel and Gu Yuanyuan successfully reached the other side. The maintenance personnel wiped his sweat as fortunately the seat belt on the harness was buckled. 

Gu Yuanyuan was so scared that she choked. Just now with a bang the elevator instantly fell to the bottom. If it weren’t for the safety belt that tied her and the maintenance staff together they would’ve fallen together.  They wouldn’t die from this height but would be severely injured.. 

When she was finally on solid ground, Gu Yuanyuan felt a little limp. Luckily Gu Yizhou immediately supported her. Her heart was pounding wildly, but when she saw that her son was whiter than her she quickly held his hand and comforted him in a low voice,”Don’t be afraid, Mommy is all right. It was just a false alarm.” 

Although this kind of thing was unfortunate, she was unharmed. 

Just like last night at Jiang Yun’s house. 

Gu Yuanyuan did not know whether to lament her good luck or bad luck. 

Gu Yizhou said nothing. 

Miao Miao and Lin Jing came over, Miao Miao took the initiative to add Gu Yuanyuan’s WeChat and invited her to attend their  wedding. 

It turned out that the two were going to get married on November 11. This time they came to the hospital for a pre-marriage medical examination. Fortunately, they didn’t have any problems having encountered such a thing. 

Miao Miao looked as though she disliked Lin Jing on the surface, but  her words revealed her infinite attachment. Although Lin Jing panicked when a dangerous situation occurred in the elevator just now, his hands were still firmly protecting her. 

“We didn’t know each other before, but now we’ve shared a dangerous situation. Yuan Yuan, you and Dr. Gu must come to our wedding.” 

Miao Miao warmly invited, and then whispered in Gu Yuanyuan’s ear, “Doctor Gu is great, you have to stay together and I hope to hear your good news soon.” 

Gu Yuanyuan: “…” 

Miao Miao didn’t see the endless words on Gu Yuanyuan’s face and left with Lin Jing. 

Gu Yizhou took Gu Yuanyuan back to his office. 

“Oh, Dabao called me.” Gu Yuanyuan took out his broken phone. 

After the call hung up automatically, Gu Yizhou called Jiang Yun back with his mobile phone. He and Gu Yuanyuan glanced at each other as he didn’t tell Jiang Yun about the elevator incident. 

“Dabao, you are going to work.” Gu Yuanyuan leaned over and said. 

Jiang Yun heard Gu Yuanyuan’s voice, and the uneasiness that had been suspended in his heart disappeared. He frowned, forget it, Gu Yizhou is with her so there shouldn’t be any problems.
