Master Meow - Chapter 72
Chapter 72: I Can’t Die Alone!
With the giant cat’s attitude being like this, she had to plan ahead for her future.
It was reasonable to say that in the giant cat’s eye, her existence right now was akin to a novel pet. A lot of humans who used to keep pets also had this brief period of enthusiasm where they can’t bear to throw away the pets they had kept for several days. But regardless of how much they loved and liked their pets before, they still became merciless when they decided to throw their pets away.
Perhaps at present, the giant cat was also in that kind of mood. Even though she wasn’t careful, still, she had touched his bottom line in the end. Furthermore, there was also the panther who wished he had eaten her. If she was thrown out of the stone castle, she would immediately be eaten by the panther.
Lowering her head and wiping her eyes, Lu Qiu spread out half of the suit on the bed and continued to snip it, tailoring an underwear.
I need to find something to do and keep myself busy so that I won’t think about it.
What Lu Qiu didn’t know was that by the time she went out of bed, Wells also woke up but he was still a little tired so he kept his original posture and simply squinted his eyes.
After some time rummaging the cat’s nest, he found the live broadcast ball in it. After a while of thinking, he then turned it on and continued to pretend to be sleeping. He wanted to see what the pet would do during his sleep.
***
At this early morning, most nocturnal animals had just taken their rest, while those who were active during the day had not yet risen up. This was the time when the number of people who visited the internet was at the least.
As a result, only a few people received the notification to watch the live broadcast at this hour, and the number of people online didn’t even reach one hundred viewers after a few minutes of broadcasting.
Half of them didn’t see it because they fell asleep, while the other half were the audience who withdrew after watching the little pet’s fashion show yesterday. They reckoned that the first live broadcast was just a gimmick, and there was nothing interesting from it in the future.
Although it looked like there were fifty or sixty thousand viewers on the platform, in fact, a lot of them didn’t really become followers.
Of course, the purpose of Wells’ live broadcast was not focused on becoming an internet celebrity to make a lot of money. He just wanted to record his and his pet’s daily life and interactions, and he doesn’t really care about the number of his audience.
Judy was a nocturnal animal, and after wandering around all night, she then settled down on her nest and was ready to go to sleep. But before heading to sleep she habitually switched her device on and scrolled through the live broadcast, and at the middle of scrolling up, she suddenly received a live broadcast notification.
An early morning live broadcast was so rare that she immediately tapped to open it without any second thoughts.
Looking at the scene, the live broadcast seemed to take place inside the bedroom, and the picture was motionless for quite some time.
Judy saw someone in the comment section asking, “did you accidentally touch the live ball? Otherwise is this a live broadcast about a cat sleeping?”
Because of this, the audience left the channel one after another, and soon, only half the number of online viewers were left.
Judy wanted to leave as well. She was now a little sleepy and was yawning constantly, but just as she was about to click the exit button, the camera suddenly turned and focused on a tiny house without a door, which seemed to be a pet room with a bed vaguely seen inside.
Sure enough, not long after, a small figure came out of the house. She wore a white dress and walked forward cautiously on tiptoes. Then finally, she stopped at the not-that-particularly-big table’s leg, which was almost completely covered by her figure. She stealthily showed her pair of round eyes as she secretly peeked at the giant cat’s nest.
After looking around, she silently climbed again, and eventually arrived at the cat’s nest. Still, without making any noise, she looked at the cat’s paw that was sticking out as if she wanted to touch it. Unfortunately, because she was too small, even if she jumped, she wouldn’t be able to reach it. She could only look at the paw with her eyes wide open.
After watching this scene, Judy couldn’t help but cover her mouth so as to stop herself from making a pig-like cry. Oh how she wished she could immediately rush into the scene, embrace the pet, and let its wish come true.
She then shrieked like crazy.
“Ah, ah, ah, what kind of fairy pet is this? It’s too adorable. Quick! Hold her up! Let her touch it!”
The other viewers who stayed behind were also conquered by the pet in the live broadcast, screaming along with Judy.
“Quick! Hug her! Let her go up!”
“*Shake wildly* Cat, wake up! your pet is looking at you. Open your eyes, quick! Look at her!”
In order to get a better view of the pet, Judy took out her virtual reality device. Just so you know, Judy would never use this device to watch a live broadcast unless it was a live broadcast that she liked very much.
By wearing this VR device, it would seem like you were also in the same room as the host altogether. Also, if ever a physical contact was done, you could even experience the same sensation it brought to the blogger at the same time.
Judy followed Lu Qiu’s line of sight. Soon, she also found the wound on the cat’s leg. Then, she watched the little pet furiously climbing through the wardrobe, picking clothes and snipping them into cloth strips. Just as when she was wondering about what purpose the cloth strips have, she found the little pet climbing clumsily into the cat’s nest.
Judy stood behind and couldn’t help cheering for the little pet. She clapped her hands and cheered in a loud voice as the pet climbed its way up.
After making it into the cat’s nest, the little pet patted her chest and observed for a while. Her hands then gently touched the injured leg of the giant cat as if soothing him, stroking his fur lovingly but with distress.
Because of the VR device, Judy could also feel what Wells was feeling at the same time. The leg, which was touched, felt like it was being electrocuted. It felt so comfortable that she had nearly lost her consciousness.
Even lying inside a massage cabin doesn’t make me feel this good.
Judy didn’t notice that all the spines on her back had now exploded like a peacock.
She stood in the nest and danced wildly— more exaggerated than the courtship dance of the birds in paradise.
“No way! This little pet is on a whole new level, too godly! Boo hoo~ I’m going to promote her to all the animals in the galaxy!!!”
Watching the little pet carry the cloth so carefully, bandaging the injured cat’s leg and tying a very lovely bow on it, Judy sprayed out another bout of nosebleed. Then, she sent five Lingdi messages to express her feelings and exclaims of admiration.
“I’m not going to sleep today. I want to recommend this little pet to you guys. Please come to the live broadcast and wear your VR equipment! I can’t die alone!”
After Lu Qiu’s appearance, the number of viewers in the live broadcast room gradually increased from several hundred to a thousand. After Judy’s promotion was posted, the number of online users quickly exceeded 20,000.
On the other side, Wells felt how the bow was carefully tied on his leg and almost screamed like Judy. He really wanted to get up and hold the pet in his arms.
But he still maintained his dignity of an adult cat and didn’t move an inch. After all, in front of the little pet, he became a lost man yesterday— he’s definitely going to save his face today!
But doing it was really hard to the point of suffering from an internal injury.
After holding it in for a while, he finally couldn’t help it anymore. He jumped out of the cat’s nest and rushed towards the pet’s house.
Who cares about the dignity of an adult cat? It doesn’t matter at all!
His pet should be cuddled in his loving arms!
