Chapter 52: Lu Qiu’s Business

Lu Qiu wished to continue playing, but she had something she needed to do. Her face flushed and sweat was pouring out of her forehead.

Gasp… She suddenly felt an internal urge, so she reluctantly ran out of the giant cat’s hug to the cat’s litter.

Wells turned around and looked back at her. He jumped onto the windowsill and stood within Lu Qiu’s line of sight.

“Is there anything you want?” He looked down to ask Ruth.

Falling Star Forest was a territory under Wells’ control. He had set the rules a long time ago that all intelligent animals were not allowed to attack, kill, and hunt at will. Foreign animals were free to come, but they should inform him first and get his approval to settle down.

Obeying the rules, even animals who weren’t enlightened could do this. Animals were more direct than humans, so they tend to fear and submit to who was stronger, regardless of its race.

But this group of jackals appeared awfully inexplicable. As if they were deliberately making trouble, they didn’t admit what their purpose was, nor who sent them to cause trouble.

“They came from the South. They were originally scattered, but a lot of jackals challenged one after another to become the leader while the defeated ones would be received to form their current group. The reason why they appeared in the Falling Star Forest was that there was a lot of prey here, making them want to establish their power and settle down. According to the current news I gathered, there seemed to be nobody who was controlling the situation behind the scenes,” Ruth reported.

Wells actually governed a large scope of area, with mountains in the North, swamps and deserts in the West, grasslands in the South, and forests in the East, all of which belonged to him.

However, it was only because the Giant Rock Star was extremely vast. Compared to the other planet, its scope wasn’t an exaggeration.

There were also several regional areas bordering his territory, and those places were all under the jurisdiction of certain aristocrats.

The nobles regarded this place as a hunting ground. They often organized hunting activities, and even overstepped the border and invaded the neighboring area several times.

Wells would never take the initiative to be in conflict with others, but he would not let himself be bullied, either. He would directly go to the other party’s territory to pick a fight and would beat those nobles until they cry for their fathers to shout and their mothers to kneel down while begging for mercy. He even lost count of the number of bones he had broken!

All the young animals who participated in the hunting before were proud and healthy. They didn’t pay much attention to Wells, but after they were beaten up, they felt too embarrassed to speak outside. Moreover, Wells had a special identity, so after some time had passed, both sides still reconciled. However, these days, a lot of animals have started to migrate here.

Wells had always welcomed the newcomers and took many animals in, which was why his territory became suitable for hunting.

In the end, there was still a contradiction. Wells was afraid that the other party would not dare to come and play with him. He was used to seeing such a sinister and cunning beast. No matter how kind and friendly its face was, no matter how high its position was, the cruelty in its bones couldn’t be concealed.

That giant spider, did it inadvertently pass by, or was it specially released?

Wells squinted his eyes and looked beyond the dark mountains in the distance— his gaze further into the void.

He hadn’t come out to exercise his physique for such a long time, which might have given those guys the illusion of weakness and deception.

“Check the trajectory of the giant spider and see where it comes from. Also, check out what my good neighbors are up to.”

“Yes, My Lord.”

Ruth quickly departed.

Wells stood on the windowsill again for a while before going back to the room.

From head to toe, her complexion became bright red as if she was suffocating.

Actually, it wasn’t that it hadn’t been solved. It had been solved for a long time.

But…

But there was a very, very serious problem.

There was no paper! She desperately tried so hard to recall. However, she had never seen any paper in every nook and cranny of the castle.

That means she was either going to get up in such a dirty state, or she could tear off her clothes as a substitute.

But who knew that the quilt, which she used as a dress….although it looked thin and silky, it was strong enough that even after she used all of her strength, she was still unable to rip it apart.

The cleaning robot, who stood beside the litter box, was looking at her blankly.

This scene, for once, was very embarrassing.

Lu Qiu’s face turned even more red from embarrassment.

What should I do?

She looked down at her underwear that was still left unchanged.

Don’t tell me… Could this be the only way?

It was the last thing that her previous world had left for her, so she was a little reluctant to part with it.

Wells waited for a long time, but the little pet still didn’t get up. So, he couldn’t help but gently approach her on the other side.

He really didn’t want to peek, he was only concerned about her— his little pet, nothing more. He didn’t feel at ease when the little pet was not within his sight.

Lu Qiu looked at the windowsill before standing up. The giant cat wasn’t there, so she looked around and didn’t see where he was.

Maybe he went downstairs, but after recalling that there might be surveillance inside the room, she felt quite uncomfortable, but she also felt much safer.

Now that the giant cat was not here, it would be easier for her to move. She tied the quilt back on her body and began to take her clothes off when suddenly, she saw a strange light flashed in front of her.

Lu Qiu stopped her actions immediately. Her eyes exactly met with a pair of amber eyes that were poking out of the cat’s nest.

The curious eyes appeared to be innocent and unguilty.

She didn’t know how the giant cat hid himself. He just spread himself on the floor, bent his body into an arc, and stuck himself to the edge of the cat’s nest like a potsticker. It was a perfect hiding position as Lu Qiu didn’t find him when she first scanned the room before.

When he was caught red-handed, Wells winked at her, then crawled out from behind the cat’s nest, apparently trying to get up.

Lu Qiu quickly shouted, “Don’t come here!”

She held her clothes using one hand while making a gesture of prohibiting the cat to approach using the other.

Wells stayed in his place.

Lu Qiu frantically grabbed her clothes and quickly cleaned herself. Then, she buried her underwear under the soil inside the cat litter box after rolling it into a ball using her hand. After dipping it in a circle, she quickly shoved it into the nearby cleaning robot to destroy the evidence.

Afterward, she tightly covered herself using her clothes and jumped out of the litter box.

Wells leaned over when he saw her coming out, but Lu Qiu still didn’t let him touch her and even stepped back two steps behind.

She hadn’t washed her hands yet. It’s too dirty.

She looked at the water fountain and the kitchen, and eventually, she chose to go to the kitchen.

The water fountain was recycled drinking water. She couldn’t wash her hands there; it would be harmful to them.

Wells stood foolishly still for about three seconds, his heart feeling a little sour and cold from the little pet’s rejection. This was the first time she refused to approach him!

It’s so sad.

Being disliked is.

But why? Was it because he watched the little pet go to the bathroom?

But isn’t that a normal thing? Besides, he didn’t see anything. Why is the pet angry?

In a daze, Wells stood still at the same place until Lu Qiu finished washing her hands. He just stood there while browsing online using his device to study the pet behavior guide.

Getting along with pets is really a profound knowledge!
