Chapter 49: Feeding Lord Wells (1)

The giant cat sharpened his claws using his newly replaced walls and floors, leaving deep marks. After he finished, he leaned forward and rubbed his body furiously, as if he had grown lice suddenly.

Lu Qiu and the giant cat had taken their bath just now, so she knew that the giant cat was completely clean— he was definitely not suffering from tinea1 and such diseases.

She tilted her head and scratched her cheek. She thought for quite a while, and eventually, she finally understood what this giant cat was trying to do.

He was leaving his scent on these newly replaced furniture, and was marking his territory using this way.

In general, this was another way for animals, like cats and dogs, to mark their territory aside from urinating the said place.

The big cat loved to be clean, and he was also smart. Naturally, it was impossible for him to mark his territory by directly urinating on each place.

But these scratch traces, by any chance, is it not to sharpen his claws?

Yet, when one leaves the feelings of heartache for throwing these furniture aside, one could see that such scratches and dents had given them an artistic vibe as if looking at a criss-cross painting from a distance.

Patting the cat’s head, Lu Qiu no longer made excuses for the giant cat.

Wells indeed left behind his scent to mark his territory once again. The fact that an outsider had successfully invaded his home had made him very furious.

He now started to have doubts. Previously, his small pets were either dead or went missing. But the fact that all of them had ended up dead was undeniable. Could it be that someone was actually pulling some strings from behind?

The more he thought about this, the angrier he became, so Wells now began to put more importance on this matter.

But, since Ruth could not see his master’s thoughts, he quickly stepped forward to stop his actions as he was afraid that Wells would destroy the newly established walls and floors if he continued his rampage and wore them out.

“My Lord, that’s enough.”

Wells stopped his actions, then his eyes penetrated through the walls and looked around.

“Raise the perimeter’s protection. I want to see who else dares to sneak in.”

“Yes, My Lord.”

His fierce look only lasted for two minutes. As he thought of his little pet on his back, his body gradually relaxed.

He called the cleaning robot standing next to the litter basin to clean the mess, then, he proceeded to carry Lu Qiu into the kitchen.

Seeing the kitchen made Lu Qiu a little nervous in an instant, and this caused her hands to unconsciously grab the giant cat’s fur immediately.

But soon enough, she found out that the window’s previous location had become a mountain view, with golden clouds rolling and sunlight pouring in from the outside.

She stared at it and froze for a moment as it didn’t seem to be a real view but a projection.

The northern part of the stone castle was indeed a mountain range. However, it was impossible to get this close to the mountain view, and the sun should already be gone at this time and position, no?

Wells especially shifted this side of the wall, and when Lu Qiu reached out to touch it, her hand passed through the landscape and touched the wall instead.

They had completely sealed the original window so that there wouldn’t be any worries about having a wild animal suddenly creeping in without their knowledge. She no longer needs to be afraid.

The feeling of having someone taking care of her had touched her heart, and this action had made Lu Qiu become lost for words in an instant.

She lowered her body to lie on the giant cat’s stomach and embraced him tightly with both her hands around his body.

“Thank you, thank you so much.”

Feeling that he got praised by the little pet, Wells swung his tail and placed her on the kitchen stove and rubbed against her.

Lu Qiu, who was rubbed upside down by the giant cat, couldn’t help laughing. Afterwards, she watched its two giant paws lean forward as he lay down on his stomach while still on the kitchen stove. Soon after, he put a huge chunk of meat into the pan that she had forgotten to put away.

At first, Lu Qiu thought that he was going to cook and looked at him with amazement in her eyes. However, unexpectedly, after he settled the meat, the giant cat pushed her.

After pushing her in front of the pan, the giant cat stopped moving and maintained his slouching posture. Both of his eyes became big and round, looking so adorable as he gazed at her with expectations— He was really looking forward to seeing her cook with his own eyes.

Wells swung his tail furiously. He hadn’t tasted the food made by this little pet.

Lu Qiu: “…”

This… He wants her to cook?

But, when she cooked this noon, the giant cat shouldn’t have seen it. How did he know that she had fried meat?

No, if he really didn’t see anything, then it would be impossible for him to suddenly appear like that and save her.

Therefore, this room must have been monitored.

Then, doesn’t it mean that all of her actions were clearly seen? Thinking of this, she covered her face.

But, when she thought of the past where she also installed a surveillance camera for the cat she was raising, most of her uneasiness had disappeared once again.
