Master Meow - Chapter 35
Chapter 35: Lu Qiu, Meow~
This time, it was indeed a little unwise to wash her hair, but she just couldn’t help it. She was dumped by the smell of fish this morning, and it was impossible for her to wash her hair without taking a bath.
However, although her hands were dry, her body was still dripping wet. She unfortunately fell from the countertop as it was originally sleek, and her hands had failed to grasp tightly.
Lu Qiu couldn’t help but close her eyes and hold her head tightly to prevent its vulnerable parts from knocking something as much as possible.
Yet, the imaginary pain didn’t come. Instead, she was caught in the sun’s warm embrace.
The giant cat suddenly appeared. He used his pair of front paws as a cushion to catch her in his arm.
Lu Qiu saw a frown appear on the giant cat’s face and felt inexplicably guilty.
Seeing her trembling and snuggling in his arms, Wells could feel how cold his little pet was, and the anger that had risen quickly dissipated again.
He took her back into the nest. He also protected her in his arms and began to lick the water off her body. This time, however, his movements were merciless. His tongue had barbs on it, so even when he restrained his movements, it’d still feel like there’s a thorn scratching her body. It was painful every time it brushed against her skin.
Lu Qiu dared not hide. She endured the pain and wiped off the water on her body. When her hair met his tongue, he managed to drain the water within six or seven minutes until it was no longer wet.
After being treated in such a way, her skin was all red and looked a bit scary like she had allergies.
Wells couldn’t bear it anymore. He pressed her in the nest, got up, and flew out.
He remembered that he had kept some old clothes that were all brought back from Capital Star. Ruth stored them all in the room downstairs, but after coming to Giant Rock Star, he never wore those clothes and never took them out again.
Although the size didn’t fit well, it was still possible to wrap the little pet with it.
Wells raked up the closet for a long time and found that most of the clothes there were suits. He didn’t like wearing clothes. He didn’t even want to wear a symbolic bow tie except for occasions where he had to attend. He was once laughed at by many people, and even his second brother secretly felt ashamed of him.
But Wells didn’t care about these things. If he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t like it. That’s it! He would stick to his principles within the scope of his resistance.
In addition to all kinds of suits, there was only a white jumpsuit. This was made by his mother when he was a child. The clothes have two holes in the ears’ part to let the ears out. Around the chin, there was a pink colored bow that was very cute. Of course, it couldn’t be worn at all now. For him, it was too small.
His mother passed away too early. Wells didn’t have any impressions about her aside from only seeing one or two from various video photos. This jumpsuit was also the only gift she had left for himself.
He grabbed the clothes to look for a while, then stuffed them deep into the closet and took out a suit with the softest material. Then he wandered into another large cabinet for half a day, carrying out two small dolls in disgust.
When he returned upstairs while holding something, Lu Qiu was already sneezing against the edge of the cat’s nest.
She rubbed her nose that had started becoming stuffy. Indeed, she quickly caught a cold.
When she was just about to continue sneezing, two 1.6-meter-big cat dolls suddenly fell from the sky and surrounded her. Then, she was covered in a huge quilt.
Lu Qiu froze for a second and instantly became ecstatic.
Quilt?! There are quilts here? Did the giant cat finally realize that she needed warmth?!
The quilt was very thin but super wide, moreover, it was soft to the touch. It was smoother than the finest silk. Although, the style was a little strange. It was like a double sheet without a quilt core, yet the two ends were not stitched.
She struggled to crawl out of the quilt and saw the giant cat standing in front of the cat’s nest.
Lu Qiu thanked him happily.
“Thank you, big cat.”
This giant cat is quite intelligent, we might be able to communicate. She wanted to talk to him, yet she didn’t know what to do.
Right now might be the right time to try it. Lu Qiu quickly folded the quilts into a large cloak, wrapped them around her body, and tied it to her chest, making her appear like she was wearing an Indian-style dress.
After she finished taking care of herself, she pointed at herself and said, “Lu, Qiu. My name is Lu Qiu. What is your name?”
Wells saw that the little pet’s mouth moved, making some faint sounds. Her syllables were a little strange. It wasn’t like a monkey’s voice, but rather, it was like a song, which sounded quite pleasant to his ears.
Can monkeys sing like birds?
He tilted his head and extended his paw to pat Lu Qiu’s head.
Lu Qiu blinked, what was that reaction?
She pointed at herself once more, “Lu! Qiu!”
This time, the tone was slower and her voice was louder.
Wells listened to her repeating this syllable several times. Like a cuckoo, he repeated her word.
“Qiu.”
“Qiu.”
Liu Qiu became ecstatic instantly! The giant cat could say her name!
But after feeling the ecstasy, she felt that there was something off once again.
She knew this feeling very well.
After a moment of contemplation, she stared at the giant cat and slowly opened her mouth.
“Meow~”
Wells: “!!!”
