Chapter 30: Black Boar, Not Lovely! (1)

Lu Qiu woke up in a fit of suffocation.

She breathed desperately, gasping a mouthful of air with all her might. She felt as if she was being pressed under the weight of a thousand kilograms. Her whole body couldn’t move.

When she opened her eyes, she was sweating all over and found herself lying in an unfamiliar place. The place was dark and hot. Furthermore, the atmosphere around the place felt heavy, and because there was no air blowing inside, the surrounding seemed to be too stifling for her. The air was extremely thin to the point she was suffocating to death.

She fumbled around with difficulty and soon enough, she understood what was going on.

She was being pressed down by a giant cat.

Lu Qiu: “…”

She couldn’t help but reminisce about the first time she had a cat pet when she was a child. She was really elated that she carried the kitten to the bed and placed it beside her. As a result, when she turned over in the middle of the night, she had almost killed the kitten. Fortunately, her mother pulled the quilt for her and found out that something was wrong, which saved the cat in time.

She should have thought about this before she went to the bed with a giant cat.

Lu Qiu rubbed her forehead then tried to climb up. Unfortunately, the giant cat was too big and heavy. She was heavily crushed that she could hardly move her limbs below the waist.

Initially, she didn’t have the heart to wake the cat up. But now that her life was in danger, Lu Qiu reached through the cat’s fur and touched the cat’s stomach directly.

She rubbed his soft belly, but the giant cat merely rubbed back against Lu Qiu.

Lu Qiu, whose face was trampled under the cat’s fur, closed her eyes for a moment. She gathered her spirit before continuing her struggles to get out again. However, the mountain which trapped the small insect her remained unmoving.

Alas, she couldn’t bear it any longer. She turned her face to look at the giant cat. Then, she shrank her fingers which were on the giant cat’s stomach, pinched two strands of cat fur, and pulled them down suddenly.

“Meowww!”

A shrill scream of a startled cat rang out. The giant cat sprang up from its nest and flew directly into the air. His eyes were fierce and sharp. Murderous aura was emanating from his eyes as if its looks could kill.

Ruth, who heard the voice keenly, quickly climbed up ten seconds later, stood by the window, and looked inside the room. “What’s the matter, My Lord? What’s the matter?”

He leaped into the room quickly, his eyes swept the surrounding of the room, “Are you alright, My Lord? Is there any intruder?”

The giant cat’s scream was still ringing in her ears. In addition, looking at the vigilant looks from the two made Lu Qiu’s heart full of guilt. She wasn’t deliberately retaliating.

Ruth was still looking for the suspect who caused Wells to scream, while Wells had returned to the cat’s nest.

He narrowed his eyes and fixed them on Lu Qiu. He started circling around her, looking extremely oppressive.

Lu Qiu shivered after his glare and hugged herself like a ball.

I’m not afraid, just feeling a little bit cold.

At night, on the 70-meter-high room separated from the ground, without the warm and soft fur of the giant cat as a quilt, she was suddenly attacked by the cold air. It was so cold that she could hardly stand it. Lu Qiu looked pitiful as she shrunk herself into a little dumpling.

The two strands of cat fur, the evidence of her crime, were thrown away by her long ago. They were pushed towards the edge of the nest.

She innocently raised her head and stared at Wells. Lu Qiu blinked, then spread her arms asking for a hug.

Wells had a strong night vision. In a glance, he could see where the two strands of cat fur were. Finally, he understood what was going on.

However, in the face of such a little pet, the spark of anger that he initially had was extinguished in an instant.

Who could have the heart to refuse such a weak and pitiful little fellow?

During the day, he accidentally plucked a little from his pet’s hair until it bled. At that time, she should have felt more pain than he did right now. Yet, she was not the slightest bit angry. What was more, just now she was completely pressed under his body. Had she resisted, she wouldn’t have suffocated herself.

Fortunately, the little pet had a strong sense of survival. Though the method she used was wrong.

Wells couldn’t help but soften after seeing her pitifully open her hands while slowly moving towards him, asking for a hug.

Such a sticky little pet. He wasn’t harmed so forget it. Let’s just forgive her.

The giant cat leaned over and held Lu Qiu in his arms again.

Thus, a crisis was solved easily.

“Go back and have a rest,” Wells said to Ruth.

After he made sure that there was no danger, Ruth quickly left.

In the latter half of the night, Wells didn’t sleep anymore. He just held Lu Qiu in his arms and kept his eyes open until dawn.

Lu Qiu, who was supposed to be more alert, was being enveloped within the circling giant cat’s legs. The familiar warmth and comfort hit her, and she couldn’t help sleeping soundly.

She had a good sleep until dawn. Her posture had changed from a huddle to a relaxed back that was completely buried in the belly of the giant cat. She held one leg in her hands as a pillow, and her legs were on his other leg.

The only thing that was unpleasant about her sleep was her posture, which made her body ache after she woke up.
