Master Meow - Chapter 22 - Magical Litter
Chapter 22: Magical Litter
Lu Qiu stood up quickly after she had solved her personal problems. She didn’t dare to stay much longer inside the cat litter box.
This is so embarrassing.
After she stood up, she discovered a ball-shaped earthy mass inside the box. Perhaps it was due to the wind that the particles of litter, which were originally settled peacefully, floated to the side of the ball and wrapped it up, creating a white floc.
The white floc apparently looked much more pleasing to the eye, artistic even. Besides, those balls also perfectly covered the original indecent smell of the lump.
Lu Qiu was dumbfounded, how come she became so familiar with this situation in just half a day.
As a matter of fact, that was a floc of cat shit! However, it does not necessarily need to be buried manually. Supposedly, it would automatically turn into a ball.
She scratched her head, she didn’t want to go into details.
She didn’t know that there were many high-tech products here because she fell asleep when she was ill. She neither saw the personal devices used by the animals nor the medical robots.
In fact, this litter box was quite intelligent but she hadn’t looked at it properly.
Wells dropped his tail and let Ruth enter the room after he saw her jump out of the litter box.
The sky was completely dark now and a huge moon had risen to the sky. The moonlight spilled into the room through the doors and windows. It was a bit dark, but you could see some things more clearly after adapting to it.
Lu Qiu walked slowly towards the bed. She missed the days when there were lights, mobile phones, and computers.
This train of thought made her remember about the bag where she put her phone when she went down the mountain. The bag was still with her on the cliff, so it was very likely that the bag was with her when she transmigrated. However, she doesn’t know where it fell. She couldn’t find it.
She was reluctant to go back to the place which left her with terrible memories, but if the giant cat could go with her, maybe… she would like to go and look for her bag.
Although it is only a cat, it looks very powerful.
Lu Qiu felt that she might be hugging someone’s thighs1 [javascript:void(0)]Hugging someone’s (big) thigh means to curry favor with someone. It was originated from people who were praying to Buddha for help. The statue of Buddha in temples is usually huge, so people will ‘hug’ his thighs/legs when praying for help..
When she walked back to the bed, Ruth and Wells were standing beside it while waiting.
At a glance, Lu Qiu saw the tray in Ruth’s hand. Inside the big room, there were no tables and chairs. There was only an empty bed, and the bed in her eyes was just like a nest that was prepared for animals by humans.
She wanted to complain about it. Even if they had prepared a nest for her, couldn’t they also prepare a blanket or quilt along the way? She was feeling cold.
Wells somewhat realized that it was inconvenient for Lu Qiu to eat, so he quietly instructed something to Ruth. Ruth placed the tray down, went out quickly, and returned soon after.
Along with Ruth, a two-meter-high large table was moved in. The table was made of solid wood and it was heavier than stone.
Wells placed the tray on the table.
Lu Qiu looked up at the table, which was taller than herself, in deep contemplation.
Granted that to sleep in the bed, I need to climb up the bed. Then what about the dining table? Do I also need to climb up something to sit and eat?
This question didn’t remain unanswered for long. Wells tapped his paw at the center of the table, and to her surprise, the large wooden table in front of Lu Qiu began to shrink slowly. The height descended to about one meter.
This is crazy! It also has such an elaborate mechanism like this. How?
She had been amazed by the buildings and supplies here even after suspecting that there were no humans in this world.
Without humans, who made these things? The animals?
Regrettably, she couldn’t communicate. All of her doubts had to be left without getting an answer.
