Master Meow - Chapter 19 - Flying with a Cat
Chapter 19: Flying with a Cat
As Wells flew higher, the scenery outside the stone castle slowly appeared more visible and explicit before them.
Lu Qiu clutched the giant cat’s thick fur and sat on its broad back. However, she hadn’t had time to feel the cat’s thick and soft fur because she was occupied by the majestic scenery in front of her.
The whole sky was a brilliant red. The red sea was filled with soft cottony and smoky red-tinted clouds, almost burning the viewer’s eyes.
Under this dazzling sky, there was an endless rolling grassland.
Tall trees sporadically stood on the grassland. There were huge eagles flying in the distance and you could see a flock of sheep grazing leisurely on the hill.
On the left was a forest towering high into the clouds. Even if Wells was flying fast to the clouds, Lu Qiu still couldn’t see where the forest edge was.
The higher the altitude, the colder she felt. Lu Qiu couldn’t help but lean down to hug the back of the giant cat under her.
She had realized that she couldn’t return to earth when she first found out that she had crossed. Seeing the whole scenery nearby now confirmed her thought again.
There wasn’t a single person who could be spotted in this place beside herself. This area was as vast as a thousand miles. Apart from the lonely stone castle, no second building could be found.
Wells didn’t know what she was thinking. He only felt that she was a little depressed and thought she was afraid.
After all, monkeys couldn’t fly.
Thus, he lowered his altitude a little and then flew towards the distant eagle.
The long hair was blown away by the wind. Lu Qiu’s hair fluttered in a mess.
Wells swept his tail in excitement and flew above the eagle in one breath.
Animals nearby know that this was Earl Wells’ territory so they almost never get too close to the stone castle.
When Lu Qiu saw it before, the eagle was miles away from them, and in her eyes, its size was normal. This time, when she finally got closer enough, she found out that the eagle was gigantic and its wings were overwhelming. The vigorous and powerful claws also made people petrified.
Sensing that an animal was approaching, the eagle turned around instantly. The dark golden pupil that belonged to the eagle was looking her way with a penetrating look.
Lu Qiu couldn’t help but shrink her head and hug Wells’ back.
The giant eagle saw that Wells was floating above himself. Then, he bowed his head slightly, “Greetings Earl Wells.”
His voice was rough and hoarse. It sounded like scratching on sandpaper. Knowing his situation, he immediately stayed quiet after delivering his greetings.
“Well… I am just strolling around. You are free to go.” Wells responded casually and began to dive towards the ground.
The sudden impact made Lu Qiu grasp the cat’s fur tightly to prevent herself from falling.
That short exchange with the giant eagle made her discover that the eagle could also speak.
Now that I think about it, those dog-like animals who chased the wolf that caught her before, seemed to be capable of speaking.
So far, she had not seen any traces of human existence.
Is there a possibility that there might be no humans in this world at all?
This speculation left Lu Qiu frozen again. If there were no humans here, how would she live? The cat could fly. What could a poor and helpless human like her do?
