Chapter 16: She Would Scold Him

Although Lu Qiu was able to put up with Wells. In her heart, she still blamed him. The scalp where her hair had been pulled off was still hurting.

She cautiously touched the place. It had swelled and the pain made her grit her teeth.

Hmm… Seems like my fingertips have touched something sticky.

Lu Qiu looked at her hand curiously and saw a red liquid on her fingertips.

No wonder it hurts so much. It’s ​bleeding. Fortunately, the wound was very small so it only bled a little.

She wondered how much of her hair follicles were damaged and felt that the part on her head would remain bald forever.

She couldn’t help but sigh. If he was her own cat, she would scold him and eat all of his dried fish and snacks right in front of him as a punishment.

But this giant cat was not her own. She dared not fight, scold, nor resist. What else could she do?

She was already lucky that she didn’t die. Just some hair loss wasn’t important. Wasn’t important at all.

Lu Qiu clenched her fist and convinced herself. Her mind finally felt at ease.

On the other hand, after seeing the blood on her fingertips, Wells’ face suddenly became serious.

He tried to get closer with his entire body lying beside the bed. Though, his head was still much higher than Lu Qiu who was sitting on the bed.

As Wells’ head came closer and closer, the fluffy cat hair from his chest had hit her face, and the sensation she felt made her look up.

Unfortunately, huge cat paws pressed her head down.

The giant cat was still approaching and his amber pupil almost condensed into a straight line. He looked at the bleeding area. The blood had stopped, nonetheless, the small area without hair was still a little bit red.

It was indeed painful for her hair to be pulled out suddenly. Wells knew it well.

He stuck out his tongue and touched that part carefully and gently with its tip.

At this time, Lu Qiu didn’t notice what Wells had done. After he approached, the gray, thick, and wavy bushes of fur on his chest flew to Lu Qiu’s face.

Her head was pressed by two giant paws, followed with her face which was buried onto Wells’ thick fur.

The texture was as soft as cotton.

Initially, Lu Qiu thought that Wells would smell good. But after such close contact, she could only smell the natural scent of mud and leaves which were not unpleasant. It felt like she was being basked in the sun.

She narrowed her eyes happily, forgetting herself for a moment.

This was probably the legendary buried-in-the-chest situation. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been long since the moment of her happiness when the sudden warm touch on her scalp woke her up.

Wells licked the bald place for a while. By the time it got soaked in his saliva, Wells withdrew his tongue.

Lu Qiu subconsciously touched that place and felt slobber.

It still hurts, but it felt like an illusion since it now feels less painful than before

Finally, Ruth had returned with a bowl of water.

Wells took a plate and placed the bowl of water on it. The bowl was about half the size of the plate for food, but for Lu Qiu, it was still as big as a basin.

Humans were not like animals. They couldn’t just drink right away from a bowl by using their tongue, without straws nor spoons.

Still, Wells placed the tray in front of her. He pushed the bowl towards her while Ruth went to fetch her medicine.

Lu Qiu watched as the rabbit fur bed was moistened by the water from the tray.
