Chapter 12: The Mole on His Ear 

As she thought this, Shen Wanying unconsciously turned back, her gaze stopped at Huo Cheng, sitting askew right behind her. 

Indeed, it was really sexy! 

Sensing Shen Wanying’s intense gaze on him, a slightly puzzled Huo Cheng raised his eyes to look at her. 

“What’s the matter?” he asked. 

Caught in the act, Shen Wanying’s heart was filled with embarrassment. However, she concealed it with a smile. “No, I heard that Fang Yichang was bothering you this morning? Are you all right?” 

“It’s all right. He couldn’t bother me anyway.” 

“…That’s good.” Shen Wanying chuckled twice. She even found a topic to talk about, “Oh, by the way, the club activities will start this Friday. Make sure you don’t forget about it.”
 

““M-hm.” Huo Cheng thought about it then said, “Let’s go together on Friday.” 

“Sure.” Shen Wanying agreed with a smile and turned around to see the on-duty list on the blackboard. Her name and Huo Cheng’s were written on it side by side. 

Today’s on-duty students originally were her and the student who sat in front of Huo Cheng’s table, Liao Xue. But, since Liao Xue was not feeling well, Huo Cheng offered to take their place and became the one who was on-duty today. 

When she saw her name and Huo Cheng’s written together, inexplicably Shen Wanying’s heart beat erratically. 

She quickly withdrew her eyes and opened the exercise book that was on her desk. 

On account of being on-duty today, Shen Wanying and Huo Cheng stayed behind after the class ended. Besides them, there were students who also stayed at school to study in the evening. She and Huo Cheng didn’t lock the doors and windows. They aligned the desks and chairs in the classroom after the Physical Labor Committee member finished inspecting the room, making sure it was clean. 

The sound of desks and chairs crossing the floor occasionally could be heard. There were only the two of them left in the classroom. Shen Wanying placed the desks and chairs back where they were without any distractions and ignored Huo Cheng, who was in the room with her.
 

But in the middle of the silence, a wasp was buzzing around Shen Wanying out of nowhere. Startled, Shen Wanying took a step back, as she did she bumped into a desk, it squeaked. 

“What’s wrong?” Huo Cheng looked towards her. Shen Wanying’s gaze was fixed on the wasp. She spoke with a low voice to Huo Cheng, “There’s a wasp.” 

The wasp was still “buzzing” and flying around. Shen Wanying didn’t dare to move, afraid she would provoke it. 

“Don’t be afraid. ” Huo Cheng quickly walked towards Shen Wanying, took off his school uniform jacket and put it on Shen Wanying’s head. Shen Wanying felt she was being distanced from the light in the classroom and the buzzing of the wasp. 

Huo Cheng’s school uniform jacket smelled like him. It was covering her head as if Huo Cheng himself was embracing her. 

Shen Wanying’s pulse once again became erratic, even faster than in the morning. She was completely stunned. 

“All right, it’s gone. I’ve already closed the window.” Huo Cheng’s voice sounded hazy, Shen Wanying became muddleheaded. 

“What’s the matter with you, scared?” Huo Cheng took back his school uniform jacket and looked down at Shen Wanying. Her soul finally returned, she answered with a smile. “Yes, thank you for just now. Are you all right?” 

“I’m all right.” Huo Cheng wore his school uniform jacket, “I’ve been stung by wasps before.” 

“Ah?” Shen Wanying’s smile was gone when she heard that. She looked scared a bit and worried. “When?” 

“When I was ten.”
