The Duchess and the Devil - Chapter 97.2
The bottom of his pants was still bulging, but Derrick tried to act as calmly as possible, calming his wife. He still had a lot of patience. Judith, who didn’t have the courage to say anything, kissed the demon tenderly, as if apologizing. Derrick immediately bit her bottom lip and pulled her closer to him before pulling away.
-Have you eaten today? – he asked, like a tutor checking homework.
– Yes. Today I ate dessert.
Derrick stroked her hair, praising her for the work she had done. Although Judith’s complexion has improved a lot, she is still far from her former self. But soon she will feel much better. Thinking about this, the Duchess worked hard on herself, but suddenly changed the topic:
“I heard that there will be a ball soon at the Imperial Palace.”
Judith was also informed of this by the Marchioness.
– I know about this from Nocturne.
The Duchess already knew this name, so she decided to ask:
– He is a human?
“Yes,” Derrick nodded. – Right. Since I have purified everything in the Demon Realm, I don’t think any of them will follow me in the future.
“Then how did you hire him?”
Judith breathed a sigh of relief, tired of all these demons.
– Of course, for money.
– Money? Do you have them?
– Did you think I was a beggar?
He smiled brightly.
A moment later, countless gold and silver coins flowed from his hands and fell to the ground, creating a loud noise. Judith’s eyes widened at what she saw, but then she smiled, because she smiled once again: nothing in this world can be explained more logically.
“That’s it,” Derrick said, ending the show. — Would you like to be present as my partner?
– Do you mean the ball?
– Yes.
Judith swallowed.
“I think I need to get permission from my older brother first.”

A few days later.
The Duchess took a deep breath and looked out the window – straight into the garden where the tea party was now taking place. Suddenly the door opened and a maid came in:
“Lady, I was told to take you to the garden.”
“Okay,” Judith got up from the sofa and followed the maid.
Today, for the first time, the Duchess prepared to refute the terrible rumors that surrounded her. To do this, she turned to the Marquise for help. And her friend happily took her hand. Judith’s sincere interest in this made Mila truly happy. For the first time in a long time, the Duchess will appear at a tea party.
When she entered the garden, the laughter of the beautiful girls resonated in her ears. The Marquise immediately smiled at Judith who had arrived and raised an eyebrow.
– Mom, do we have a new guest? – asked the little girl.
The girls who had not yet seen Judith looked carefree. Marquise Dyer rose slowly to greet her friend. And other ladies followed her example.
“I think everyone knows who it is.”
The Duchess looked at the amazed and embarrassed faces of the girls and smiled.
