Judith could not even dream of a reunion, so now she cried like a child who had been given an unexpected gift. Derrick was silent for a while, as if he was embarrassed, and then he grabbed her chin, trying to lift her face.

– Let me look at you.

The embarrassed Duchess tried to evade, because she did not want to show her tears and flushed face.

-Won’t you show me? So I came back alive from hell to be rejected like this? – Derrick smiled, as he usually did. This is what Judith missed so much.

Finally, she shook her head. There were a lot of things she should be worried about, puffy eyes and wet cheeks, but now was clearly not the time. Derrick stroked her:

“I hoped that this illusion would work well for everyone,” the low bass, rougher than my husband’s, sometimes made me flinch. “You’ve really lost a lot of weight,” he whispered. -What about the child?

The Duke suddenly looked down – straight at his stomach. Humans carry a fetus for at least nine months, so he couldn’t understand why it was so flat. Judith shook her head again, wiping her tears with her hands.

– There is no more child.

Derrick immediately wrapped his arms around her stomach. She shuddered from the black glow that she had not seen for so long. But the demon only ruffled his hair in confusion, causing Judith to cry again.

“I had a miscarriage at my husband’s funeral,” she said, which brought even more tears. – Do you know how hard it was for me? You disappeared, the child died. I was alone.

Suddenly Judith felt someone’s arm wrap around her waist. Derrick hugged his wife tightly.

– Yes. It’s all my fault. But stop crying, please.

– You know, this behavior makes me cry even more.

Judith couldn’t stop, because the devil was exactly the one she had missed so much all this time. The Duke patted her on the back, trying to calm her down and telling her that everything would be okay now. His temples throbbed as tears welled up.

Raising her arms, the girl hugged Derrick’s neck.

– But what kind of body is this? Whose is it?

When the emotions running high to the limit had barely subsided, Judith finally collected her thoughts and decided to ask a few questions. But Derrick just laughed, feeling how quickly his wife’s heart was beating.

“My body, which I made to meet you,” the Duke hugged her again, and then kissed her thin hand.

Judith felt strange. It was a demon, but its appearance had completely changed. And now he could kiss her and hug her. The Duchess removed her hand from the unusual sensations, asking the question again:

– But what about people? Who is Duke Mexillion? Why do they act like they already know you? You are a demon, not a man.

However, the Duke remained silent.

– Derrick? Why don’t you answer me?

It looked like Judith was about to suffocate. And although the husband’s face was different now, every touch said that it was he. After all, the Duchess watched all this for many months.

“I just don’t know where to start.” I first became human using magic.

– Yes. I’m the one who can fall asleep and wake up with you,” Derrick took her hand again. “But, oddly enough, my magic remained the same.”

Every time Judith blinked, her golden irises glowed colorfully. And in the look of the demon opposite there was not a hint of joy.

– Yes. In fact, I was ready to lose all the magic. But the result was unexpected. However, it is better than having nothing.

Judith narrowed her eyes as he looked at her with a smile.

Now the Duchess felt a little strange. Previously, all her feelings were gray, as if her heart had become hardened. But now, like a tidal wave of vivid emotions, reality made her happy. And Judith felt it. And although she was not angry or sad, tears still flowed down her cheeks.

“I think I would be more surprised if you showed up suddenly.”

Derrick slowly rubbed his wife’s cheeks, as if he wanted her to stop crying. The hot tears slowly died down, as if the touches were comforting.
