The Duchess and the Devil - Chapter 61.2
And it was too strange. Every time Judith thought about this, her heart began to ache too much. She had never experienced anything like this before. In fact, with the arrival of the demon in the body of her deceased husband, sometimes Judith got angry looking at him, because her appearance remained the same.
And the Duchess felt a certain disgust for her. After all, the pain caused by Derrick, all the suffering and insults cannot be described in simple words or forgotten. However, the sudden appearance of a demon softened this feeling. Now the husband has completely taken over the mind. The devil was so powerful and bewitching that even Derrick’s appearance could not do anything about it.
Moreover, the contrast between them was too strong. Unlike her husband, who left only scars on her heart, the devil worried and looked after her. And now the feeling seemed very mixed.
And was this love? Judith didn’t know the answer to that question.
She had never experienced anything like this. Therefore, the Duchess did not even understand how exactly this feeling was expressed. And she couldn’t even believe it: it happened to her. Although Judith always seemed like a role model, she was the stupidest in love.
The mind simply refused to answer any questions regarding its own feelings. Each new thought seemed to tickle my heart.
Judith moved her legs, then turned her gaze to her husband, who came out of the rest room to call the servant. Left alone, the Duchess relaxed and leaned on the sofa. My body was tired, I just wanted to lie down on the bed and fall asleep. Therefore, she only thought about home and returning as soon as possible.
Lost in thought, Judith suddenly opened her eyes after hearing something strange. After all, she is the only one in this room. And the incomprehensible rustling sounds seemed strange. The room instantly became cool.
Turning around, the Duchess saw a huge hand rushing towards her at great speed. Before she said anything or screamed, someone covered her mouth and put a bag over her head. There was absolute darkness.

– Where the hell are you?
Unlike the banquet hall, where the music of the ensemble mixed with the sounds of friendly conversation, it was cool in the corridor. In the silence and darkness that Derrick liked, his heart gradually relaxed. However, instincts suddenly took over.
Derrick looked at the sky from the window. The rising moon was bright. Suddenly my heart started beating faster. The sudden change indicated magical power.
The demon turned around and ran back to the break room. Having broken down the door, he opened the locked hall, in which there was no one.
The only trace of Judith was her beige shoes still in the coal.
– Crap…
He was only gone for a few minutes.
Although it is difficult to say whether Judith left of her own free will, some facts spoke for themselves. The Duchess had a wound on her leg, so it is unlikely that she would have wanted to move around with it or barefoot. And most likely: someone kidnapped her.
The undeniable evidence was a powerful force, causing a sharp response in Derrick. And it was fear that Judith managed to feel.
– Who?
The demon looked around and realized: this could only be someone who is allowed to come here without problems.
Or the one who brought them here.
Derrick clenched his fists with all his might, remembering the Emperor’s red hair.
