Star-Crossed Lovers: The Ex-Convict and the White Rabbit - Chapter 22
Chapter 22 – Interrupted
Lu Qiang sat up straight. The sky outside was bright and blue, a ray of morning light came in through the gap of the half-drawn curtains. Lu Qiang squinted his eyes and turned on his phone. It was only a little after six o’clock in the morning.
He propped one leg up and leaned his back against the wall. His eyes closed, his chest rose and fell as fine drops of sweat dripped down his forehead. His body was bathed in a light sheen of perspiration, his chest glistening as if he had just done an intense workout.
He grabbed the undershirt strewn next to him, wiped his face and chest on it and vaguely muttered, “Lu Qiang, you p*ssy.”
He chucked the top to the side after he was done wiping and took a few seconds to calm his head down. He lowered his head and stretched out his hands to rub at the outside of his crotch but he felt more uncomfortable as he scratched. After a pause, he raised his hand and pulled the curtains open with a rustle. The room became dimly lit. He leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes to recall the dream he had. The sweet “Hubby” that rang in his headspace was exactly the same as the one he heard the night before, making his scalp numb. He rubbed his thumb in thought and after a long time, his hand began to wander inside…
He was failing miserably at resisting but there was a soft sound that made his eyes shoot open. There was someone at the door. Lu Qiang slowly stopped his movements, but kept his hand inside. The previous passion in his eyes dissipated in an instant, he coldly assessed the visitor, “You don’t know how to knock?”
The guest was frozen at the door, seemingly shocked to find this unexpected scene upon opening the door. She was speechless for a few seconds and then bashfully asked, “What… what are you doing?”
“You don’t know?” Lu Qiang’s expression was blank as a sheet of paper. “I’m relieving myself, didn’t your man teach you?”
After a few seconds, the person retorted, “… I don’t have a man.” After that, she kept her eyes closed and tried to calm herself down. Her face was still flushed and her feet were leaden on the floor, she wanted to leave but her body wouldn’t let her.
She was frozen stiff, standing at the door dumbfoundedly. Lu Qiang’s mood switched suddenly. His eyes were fierce and powerful. He grabbed the immediate object next to him and without even looking at what it was, he chucked it in her direction.
It slammed on the door and fell apart into pieces with a ‘bang!’
The visitor trembled and roared, “0852!”
“Laozi has a name and that’s Lu Qiang.”
The woman was slightly startled, an angry blush crept up her neck. She rephrased, “Lu Qiang, you have one minute to dress neatly and come outside.”
Lu Qiang dismissed her, “F*ck off.”
“You…” She was so angry that she couldn’t find the words to speak and finally choked out after a long time, “sour-faced monkey.” She slammed the door and went out.
His matters had been interrupted. Lu Qiang couldn’t erect his enthusiasm anymore and ‘it’ slowly became limp. He cursed fiercely and managed to curb his anger after a long time.
It was still early, a few uncles were on their morning stroll around the residential area. The air was fresh and the magpies were chirping in the branches.
A woman stood with her back to the door. Her waist was straight, lengthening her posture in the light green uniform. She rubbed her nose to hide her embarrassment.
“Why are you here?” Someone behind her asked, still grumpy.
Tan Wei turned her head, met his gaze and turned around again. Her voice had softened considerably, “Why did you come out like this? I told you to dress neatly.”
Lu Qiang asked, “Am I naked?”
She choked and looked over again. She saw something she wasn’t supposed to.
His hands were in the pockets of his trousers. His upper body was bare, his muscles undulating. His skin was tanned a dark brown color and sparse, coarse black hair trailed down his abdomen. The monstrous dragon on his shoulder was ever so domineering.
Tan Wei’s eyes flickered, she bit her lower lip, “You rascal, do something proper. What time is it already, the sun is already up.”
Lu Qiang was unfazed and sat down on the bench behind him, “What’s proper, what’s not proper.”
Tan Wei gave him a glance, “Like you don’t know.”
He snorted, “This isn’t prison, I don’t have to report to anyone when I’m doing my business!”
“That was not what I meant.”
Lu Qiang was annoyed, “What the hell do you want?”
“Can’t I just come and check up on you?”
“No.” Lu Qiang said, “You interrupted my session.”
Tan Wei felt her heart throb, “I was never here then.” She turned around, tears pooled at her eyes.
