Chapter 187: Deceiving Uncle Sheng (86)

She had made up her mind to come and take care of the spy, asking for her to be executed. but she hadn’t expected that after all of this, Qianmo would still want to protect her. She didn’t know what he was thinking, but he was so resolute that she had no way to deal with him.

So this trip came to an end.

After the dowager had left, Qianmo stood in front of the hall and quietly looked at the clusters of bright and beautiful flowers outside. Nuan had planted the seeds shortly after she’d entered the manor. Now they were full of flowers.

Sheng Qianmo watched the flowers for a long time, before finally returning to his courtyard. He ordered a servant to bring in wine and quietly drank alone.

He drank all day. He had a splitting headache and twisted his eyebrows. In a low voice, he called Li Yuan to go to the cell and call Nuan over.

Li Yuan was confused, and he explained, ”Your Highness, Miss Shu is very ill. She can’t even get up. “

Sheng Qianmo’s face was cold and grim, as he ordered, “Then drag her over.”

In the end, Shu Nuan was brought into his room by two guards. Her ankles were still chained together. When she was helped in, her limp and weak feet dragged the ground, making a harsh noise of chains rubbing against the ground.

When the guards released Shu Nuan, she fell onto her knees.

Sheng Qianmo said coldly, “Everybody step down.”

Li Yuan had watched Shu Nuan grow up from a humble female slave. Although he knew that she had made a big mistake, he still felt a lot of heartache. He could not bear to go out, but he had to.

After the door was closed, Sheng Qianmo lowered his eyes and looked at the girl kneeling on the ground for a long time. Finally, he lowered his cup, got up to pick up the person, put her on his lap, took a wet handkerchief, wiped her dirty little face, and brushed her hair behind her head. However, he did not speak during the entire process.

Shu Nuan was forced to rely on his arms, half faint and half awake she vaguely looked at him, but her expression couldn’t be judged.

Sheng Qianmo squinted his eyes, looked at her plastered right hand. He reached out and gripped it, causing her to twitch with the pain. Her breath was short.

Shu Nuan was forced to open her eyes. However, these eyes looked at him with a cold expression.

Upon seeing her look, he drank a cup of wine. His heart was even more agitated. He pinched her chin and said, “Speak to This Prince.”

Shu Nuan was still silent.

“Do you think This Prince can’t rule you?” Sheng Qianmo asked, pressing her against the table and taking off her clothes. He threatened, “Speak!”

Shu Nuan was lying on the table, her fractured right hand underneath her, causing her to shiver with pain. Her thigh was being crushed by him, adding to her misery. She slightly opened her pale lips as if she was screaming, but she made no sound.

Although Sheng Qianmo was drunk, he realized that something was wrong. He frowned and turned her over. He noticed that Nuan was pale as paper. She looked completely different from a smile that displayed her white teeth.

Sheng Qianmo tightened his eyebrows, picked her up, dressed her and put her back on the bed. He pushed open the door of the courtyard and ordered someone to find the imperial physician.
