Chapter 149: Whatever past you have (2)

When she saw his skillful actions, she knew he’s probably eaten a lot of it.

Dudu really liked eating, but if the other person was his Mama, he could endure it.

Ye Fan didn’t take the chocolate from Dudu with her hands. She took a small bite of the chocolate from Dudu’s hands.

“Mm, yummy.”

Ye Fan even added, “It’s even yummier since it’s from Dudu.”

When he heard Ye Fan’s praise, Dudu smiled bashfully.

After taking one small bite, Ye Fan didn’t eat any more.

She brought Dudu’s small hands towards his own mouth. “Mama is done eating so eat the rest okay, Dudu?”

Dudu shook his head. “No. Mama liar. Mama only ate a little bit.”

Under Dudu’s insistence, Ye Fan could only split the chocolate into two.

One half for her, one half for Dudu.

When Dudu got his own half of the chocolate, he smiled contentedly.

His normally round eyes curved in happiness.

Dudu nibbled the chocolate bit by bit, looking focused.

This is what Dudu looked like each time he ate.

As if there were no worries in his mind.

The chocolate melted in her mouth and the sweet flavor spread over her tongue, but Ye Fan felt a little bothered.

Her mind began to hurt as she saw how carefree Dudu looked.

Right now, Dudu knew nothing about He Han.

Ye Fan really didn’t know how she should handle this.

Since she was the only one who knew the situation, she alone had to bear the responsibility. Nobody can help her.

Ye Fan circled her arms lightly.

With Dudu’s soft body encased in her arms, she felt much calmer.

…

He Han looked down at the script in his hands. They were going to be shooting a strategizing scene this afternoon, which wasn’t as difficult as the one before.

Even though he already memorized the lines and went through the scene in his head several times, He Han had always been very strict in his work and wouldn’t allow himself to make any mistakes.

After a while, the door opened and a tall man entered. He Han looked over.

That man was wearing dark sunglasses and looked rather carefree.

The man walked over, seemingly quite familiar with the place, and raised his hand to take his sunglasses off, revealing a pair of narrow, upturned peach blossom eyes.

It was Qi Shu.

He casually placed his sunglasses down onto the table and leaned lazily back on the chair, looking to He Han. “Why didn’t you pick up my call last night?”

He Han didn’t even raise his head and continued looking through the script. “I was busy.”

Qi Shu hummed a response and grinned. “With what? A little date with the beloved?”

He said this to make fun of him on purpose.

Ye Fan’s face suddenly surfaced in He Han’s mind.

Her face was fair and clear as snow under the dim darkness.

He Han restrained his thoughts and answered lightly, “You’re overthinking it.”

Qi Shu then said, “Right. How’s your show coming along?”

He knew that Ye Fan and He Han were filming “Prime Minister Shen”, and He Han was playing the titular role while Ye Fan played his lover.

A hint of interest emerged in Qi Shu’s eyes. There was a love scene in this series. He was wondering what sort of sparks would fly.

He Han spoke plainly, “As usual. It’s just acting.”

“But I seem to have heard that you’ve added a scene?” Qi Shu quickly pried.

As soon as he said that, He Han moved slightly. He casually put the script down and looked over.

There was the slightest curve in He Han’s lips and he said full of calm, “Is there a problem with that?”

Qi Shu said, “Of course not. You’re a dedicated man, right? It’s normal for you to propose some additional scenes if there’s anything you’re unsatisfied with.”

But then he asked, his eyes fixed on He Han. “But if it were a different actress, would you still do the same?”

He Han peered at Qi Shu and said with a shallow smile on his face, “What are you trying to say?”

Qi Shu observed He Han but found no changes in his expression. It’s like it has nothing to do with him at all.

He had always been like this. Even now.

“You’ve never been involved with scandals with anyone. If any actress wanted to get involved with you, news would be suppressed as soon as possible.”
