On the next day, the first examination of the semester was carried out as scheduled.

Each time, the seats for each grade were arranged according to the results from the previous exam. Huo Cheng had just transferred here. He hadn’t had any result from the previous final yet. As a result, in this exam, he had to take the seat for the last position in the last exam room.

This had attracted the attention of Fang Yichang, the last student in his grade.

“Brother, where did you come from?” Fang Yichang put his right hand on Huo Cheng’s desk and turned to look at him. “This is the first time I’ve seen someone sitting behind me.”

“Oh, it’s cool.” Fang Yichang looked at him a few times and looked down at the name pasted on the desk, “Huo Cheng? Oh! You’re the new transfer student here. Are your grades good?”

Huo Cheng sat on his seat quietly, ignoring him. But, the boy beside him suddenly tapped the table and talked loudly to Huo Cheng, “Brother Chang is talking to you. Didn’t you hear it?”

“What’s what? The exam is about to start. Go sit on your own seat. Why are you causing a ruckus?” A male teacher who was wearing glasses walked in from the outside of the classroom while holding the test paper. The students in the room seemed to be a little afraid of him. The boy who had just shouted was sitting quietly now.

Fang Yichang looked at Huo Cheng half-sideways, still interested in him, “Classmate, you have a personality. I like it. In the future, we will cover you. No one will dare bully you.”

Huo Cheng raised his eyes and finally rewarded him with two words, “No need.”

The boy beside him seemed to have something to say again. But the teacher on the podium glanced at him, so he was forced to hold back his words. Fang Yichang looked back and whispered to Huo Cheng, “This invigilator teacher is Ji Yao’s father. He is very fierce. Do you know Ji Yao? He’s the number one in our grade.”

“Stop whispering and sit down.” The teacher slammed the desk, obviously talking about Fang Yichang. Eventually, Fang Yichang turned around facing the front, took out his pen, and muttered, “Hey Teacher Ji, you can stop us from talking, but you can’t stop Ji Yao from sleeping in the class.”

Teacher Ji indifferently pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose, ”When you don’t have to sit in this exam room, I will tell you not to speak.”

Fang Yichang shrugged his shoulders and shut up. Huo Cheng looked up at Teacher Ji who supervised the exam. He picked up the pen and waited for the examination paper.

There was only a Chinese Language test in the morning. The test ended half an hour earlier than usual. Huo Cheng was waiting in the exam room until the bell rang, and he was the only student left in the room.

After handing in the test paper, he went downstairs. Shen Wanying was in the first exam room. He thought that maybe if he went downstairs right now, he could run into her.

Alas, he heard someone calling him. “Hey, man!” Fang Yichang came out of nowhere and said hello to Huo Cheng casually. “I’ve just made some inquiries about you. So, you are the new transfer student in Lady Shen’s class, right? What a coincidence, I’m familiar with the Lady of Shen family.”

Huo Cheng stopped and looked at him, “Are you close?

He took out a book from his school bag and showed it to Huo Cheng: “This is the math problem that the eldest lady gave us at that time. Now it has become a sacred book in our group. Huo Cheng glanced at the question. Although the answer could be found on the internet, there were many steps to solve the problem. For students with poor grades, it was difficult to memorize the step correctly.

Huo Cheng took out his pen, wrote something on the book for a while, and returned the book back to Fang Yichang. Then, he left without looking back. Fang Yichang looked at the book inexplicably and found that Huo Cheng had solved the problem for him. Moreover, the steps Huo Cheng used were much shorter in comparison to the steps he had learned.

“Huo Cheng, don’t go!” Fang Yichang ran up quickly. “You see you’ve solved all our problems. Do you want to join our club?”

Huo Cheng walked his way with unswerving eyes, “I’ve joined the archery club.”

“What?!” Fang Yichang looked at him incredulously. “Wasn’t the archery club’s membership full a long time ago? I’m going to Tian Yu, don’t stop me. How did you join in?”
