The Editor Is the Novel’s Extra - Chapter 31
Chapter 31 – The Main Duty of the Student (9)
Jeongjin was studying until late midnight and then woke up in the morning and jogged within the ground of the school campus. When he was done with that, he cleaned the library’s warehouse together with Arthur. This rigorous activity after school fueled an adrenaline rush in him.
While within the library’s warehouse, Arthur would ask him several times that if he got tired he was ready to lend a hand—should he also need one. However, Jeongjin stubbornly held his tongue every time Arthur talked. Thus, it made the latter more annoyed than before. And thus, the atmosphere was only dull and silent.
I’m glad Arthur didn’t rat at me. But if he keeps watching me all day, his blood pressure might spike. Jeongjin thought.

A week has passed.
The atmosphere inside the Basic Magic classroom was dreary after results of last week’s quiz had been announced.
“The result of the test was very alarming! The gap between diligent and nonchalant students is too wide!”
Jebedi swung his robe as he strode in and began to announce the students’ grades starting from the bottom.
“Okay, let’s start with those students who submitted their papers. Arthur Leognan and Nebo Yarbi of Group 1, you must take supplementary classes!”
Fortunately, Jeongjin wasn’t called. It was the big boy and the scrawny youth who messed up.
“You shouldn’t neglect the magic formulas though you are a prosecutor! Even if you can’t open the circle yet, you could still use techniques such as [Fever] and [Dry] that are quite useful in the field if you know how to write and memorize spells and know how to use ether. You’ll find it useful in the future!” Jebedi said.
Arthur, who got a few classes only, ended up being called out many times. In the process, his grades were low. Most of the students in the first and second groups were also left apprehensive for they had found the exam arduous.
“Next, I’m going to call out the results of the prosecutor team. Celeste Tangpet de Nege got seven,” Jebedi said.
Despite being weathered by Behemoth’s teachings, Clayo’s ears perked at this announcement.
What? Celeste? Is she my classmate too? He thought.
Celeste was a girl who created the Albion’s air strike force. Eventually, she became one of Arthur’s strongest henchmen. In the previous edition, Jeongjin was sure that Clayo met her only after graduation. Thus, he was astounded by the new changes that were currently happening.
Jebedi continued, “Eight, Lippi Angelium and Leticia Angelium. Nine, Ishiel Kishion. This year, Group 1 prosecutors have unexpectedly improved! Have I known you were working hard, I would have given you guys extra points!”
Lippi and Leticia? Jeongjin thought as he was surprised by such names.
Clayo, who used to be aloof with academic matters, was now trying to grasp the situation in the campus. Lippi and Leticia were sitting in the front row with their shiny, brown hair tied into ponytails. Lippi had an ivy leaf clip on her bangs, the only feature distinguishing her from Leticia.
Despite their high scores, the twins pouted at each other, both feeling sorry for not getting all the questions right.
Clayo, who sat at the back, tried to observe the twins before him. The two girls had golden, olive-colored eyes shaped like almonds. Both were cute and four years younger than Arthur.
But they weren’t supposed to be in this room. So, it made Jeongjin conclude that the twins might have entered school earlier.
The Angelium sisters, who wielded two swords, had the attack strength of four people combined when attacking were in sync. They, too, became Arthur’s main forces later on.
They are called ‘The Guardian’ when assembled. I can’t believe that in this country, all the military leaders are from the same school and the same class. What’s the connection of these current events to the prince? Jeongjin thought.
He had no idea how much those kids had tangled with the prince, but this astounding progress of the story would only provide Arthur more leverage. Thus, Jeongjin was concerned, feeling ominous of the future.
It means that terrible war would likely happen soon…
He couldn’t even listen to Jebedi because he was trying to figure out the unexpected developments in the plot. Suddenly—
“Clayo Asser? Can you hear me?” Jebedi asked.
The skinny boy then answered in a surprised voice, “Yes, sir!?”
“You’re the only one who got a perfect score!”
