“My strength is gradually returning,” Derrick clenched his hand into a fist, feeling the power spreading throughout his body.

As a human, Judith couldn’t feel it, but the demon was gradually recovering. Now his magic was much stronger than before.

“You are absorbing this person, right?”

At that moment, Derrick remembered the girl’s sad and frightened look.

— Is this your next bad joke?

Of the twelve divisions, the demons in the second area, which Derrick controlled, were especially notable for their jokes and cunning. And Lucas was no exception. He could joke and be sarcastic about almost any occasion. And so Derrick expected some kind of catch after each phrase.

In a way, Lucas was truly the epitome of all evil—evil, cunning, cruel. Looking at him, Derrick could not compare demons and humans. The man took real pleasure from the despair and pain of others.

“This is the first time the commander laughs at something.” That’s why I became curious.

This means that Lucas arrived while the couple were having dinner in the dining room. Derrick’s appearance turned out to be so unfamiliar, and especially his emotions, that the demon couldn’t even believe his eyes.

“At first I just wanted to take a closer look and scare her a little,” Lucas rubbed his nose, remembering Judith’s scent that filled the bedroom. — The smell clouded my mind for a moment.

It seems that at this moment Lucas was trying to understand Derrick’s feelings, which is why he spoke slowly and concisely. And any demon would be interested in Judith’s scent, no matter how evil or cruel you are. You will never forget him again. He was so cozy and bewitching, endlessly attractive.

But despite the plausible excuse, Lucas was still not forgiven.

“Wouldn’t it be right to use a person to restore power?”

But at that moment the demon remembered the scene he had seen recently in the bedroom.

The commander, who usually instilled fear in everyone, was so sweet and courteous to an ordinary human woman. This is truly a rare scene. Derrick looked angrily at his interlocutor.

– I mean, what happens if you give your heart to people? These creatures don’t live long.

After hearing Lucas explain his position, Derrick fell silent for a while. In fact, when he thought about it, he felt as if he had swum into a deep sea that simply had no boundary. When half of the cigarette had already decayed, the demon finally spoke:

“When I see her, I feel better.”

Sometimes Judith was sweet, sometimes shy, but despite all this, she looked extremely exciting and erotic, which is why an inexorable desire flared up in the demon every time. And the Duchess’s voice was like the whisper of a fairy. Thinking about Judith, the demon immediately remembered a small, sweet and defenseless kitten who could not take care of herself on her own.

When the girl laughed, everything inside trembled.

“Is it because she smells amazing?”

Derrick understood what Lucas was talking about, but did not agree with this statement. At first it really all came down to the smell. However, over time, she embraced herself from different sides and Derrick felt something bright and familiar in her.

– This is absurd. People are weak and greedy. They don’t live long.

– I know, shut up. Or do you want to become my next headache?

– I’m just talking about their nature. She’ll be scared to see you when you return to your body,” Lucas looked at Derrick with a strange, searching look.

He could not understand: did the demon really fall in love with this woman? Derrick smoked cigarettes one after another.

– Return to the demon world and explore the last places where Hannibal was. You must find out what this curse is. While he is recovering his strength, there is a chance to break him and get out of this world.

Today and all the conversations seemed disgusting. Derrick just wanted to hold Judith and smell her scent to calm himself down. He wanted to lie in bed with her, tear off her annoying dress, examine every part of her body, kiss her pale skin.

Imagining how he would have sex with Judith, the demon licked his dry lips.

“Damn,” he cursed out loud again, aroused only by imagination.

Lucas noticed this too and shook his head.

“If the rumor you said is true, it will be difficult to find anything… Then Hannibal would hide all the evidence with the help of the King’s power.” And don’t you dare do the same thing again as you did today,” Derrick warned sternly.

He had never seen Judith so scared and pale. The demon couldn’t get the picture out of his head: a small, trembling body curled up in a ball. The inside of my chest felt unbearably cold just thinking about it.
