They finished drinking. No, to be exact, Elise fell asleep.

“She fell asleep so quietly.”

He lifted her to put her onto the bed.

“Hm? Why is she so light? I wouldn’t have let her be if she was my fiancee.”

He would’ve forced her to eat everyday so she wouldn’t be so skinny.

“This is all brother’s fault. How bad did he treat her that she’s saying she doesn’t want to marry him?”

He stroked her head. Her soft gold hair felt good.

“And she’s this cute. If I was him, I would’ve loved her to pieces, so she can’t escape.”

She was cute when she was sleeping. Because of the wine, her cheeks were blushing, adding to her cuteness.

“And she’s not just cute.”

He thought of what he saw of her in the last couple of days.

‘If I can’t be a doctor, I’ll be like a bird in a cage.’

“I wonder how things will turn out.”

He knew about the bet between the Emperor and her. He was thinking that the Emperor would obviously win because the conditions were so ridiculous.

“I’m curious now.”

He laughed before turning his head to look at the darkness. It was a deep darkness that was seemingly empty.

“Anyways, brother.”

He muttered to himself.

“You should protect her well. Aren’t you doing to be sad if you lose the treasure you have?”

He teasingly asked the darkness. Of course, he didn’t get any answer. The 3rd Prince stifled his laughter and said bye to Elise.

“I’ll be leaving this place in the morning, so I won’t be able to see you. Goodbye. See you again, lady.”

He paused.

“I’ll be waiting.”

The next day, Elise woke up with a headache. ‘Ow, my head…’ Was it because she overdrank with such a frail body? Her head felt like it would break, and her stomach didn’t feel too good either. ‘Why did I drink so much? I want some honey water.’

But there wouldn’t be any honey water in the Blood Tower. She sighed, and gulped down some water with a tired face. It was nice when she was drinking, but the next day was always bad.

“Lady Clarence, are you up?”

Then, the Royal Guard outside the door called for her.

“Yes?”

“You have visitors. Can they enter?”

Elise remembered that people from the medical people were supposed to come. She was still out of it because of her hangover… ‘I should’ve drank appropriately.’ She regretted it, but it was too late.

“Ah, yes. Tell them to come in.”

“Then they’ll enter now.”

The door opened and 3 men entered her room. And…Elise’s face turned to shock when she saw them.

“…?!”

It was none other than the royal physician Viscount Ben and her teacher Baron Grayam! And even the director of Teresa Hospital was there!

“Huh? Rose?”

They didn’t understand the situation at first when they entered. Did they enter the wrong room? Why was the genius of Teresa Hospital here? Director Gote asked the Royal Guard.

“We’re here to see Lady Clarence. It’s not her.”

And Elise frantically curtsied.

“I’m the daughter of the Clarence family, Elise.”

It was her first formal greeting as a lady of the Clarence family. Gote stuttered when he spoke after her greeting.

“Then, you’re really the lady of the Clarence family…?”

“Yes, I couldn’t tell you because of personal reasons. I’m sorry. I genuinely apologize, and I’ll be sincerely grateful if you forgive me.

Gote’s face turned white. Then was this the reason why the Emperor and the Marquis called him? ‘Oh dear, and I didn’t even know! Did I do anything wrong to her?’ He quickly thought to himself. Seeing his reaction, Elise felt sorry, since it was her fault. ‘That was why I hid my identity.’ If she revealed that she was the daughter of the Clarence family, she wouldn’t have been able to have a normal disciple career.
