Chapter 203: Because I Like Shu Nuan (7)

Shu Nuan opened her eyes. They were a little moist.

She stared at the screen beside the bed. She felt his concern, but…

‘Isn’t this what it’s always like?’

Each slash onto her body was equivalent to a sugar gourd.

She wasn’t a puppet doll. She knew pain.

Shu Nuan closed her eyes and whispered, “Prince.”

Sheng Qianmo hadn’t expected her to wake up. Upon hearing her soft voice, he held her tighter.

“Do you know the feeling of missing someone to the extreme? I thought of you this way.”

When she’d been in Southern Xinjiang, she’d travelled alone to find him. Sheng Qianmo didn’t know how excited she’d gotten upon seeing him appear in front of her riding a horse.

It seemed she was pouring out all of her thoughts.

“You used to say that I didn’t believe in you, but… Did you ever believe in me? I used to think that Your Highness had your own difficulties. Maybe I’m young and so I can’t understand your country’s sense of honor. Maybe my perspective is narrow… But all I can see is that whether you believe me or not depends on whether other people believe me.”

“So, I’m not angry. I just don’t believe in you anymore.”

If she didn’t trust him, she couldn’t be hurt again.

This was the first time since Southern Xinjiang that she’d talked so much.

These words were meant to push away the prince she’d relied on once.

Sheng Qianmo could hear her breaking away from him with every word.

Sheng Qianmo was arrogant to the extreme, but in front of this little girl, he was nothing.

At the same time, Qianmo reflected on one thing: he was holding her back.

He was trying to hold on to someone who wanted to thoroughly leave him.

Sheng Qianmo frowned, let her go, looked at her calmly, and said, “So, you already plan to leave this prince, don’t you?”

Shu Nuan silently stared back at him.

Sheng Qianmo raised her chin. He looked at her cheek for a while. Her eyes refused to meet his stare. With his thin lips slightly hooked,  he said, “Shu Nuan, This prince will not be difficult with you.”

Shu Nuan also looked at him. Her gaze was straight and clear, like a harmless little girl, but he couldn’t hide from the indifference in her eyes.

Sheng Qianmo pinched her chin. His fingertips exerted a little force. It seemed that he was the one holding back something. He looked like a beast ready to devour her. He quickly lowered his head and caught her lips. Sheng Qianmo didn’t release her lips until the taste of blood spread to his mouth. He licked the blood from the corner of her lips and said, “Since you want to leave This Prince so much, I will help you. As long as you serve me tonight, I will let you go.”

The moment he finished speaking, Shu Nuan’s eyelids began trembling.

It couldn’t be determined whether it was because of the pain from her lips.

Snu Nuan didn’t know what expression to make, how to feel. Various emotions wrestled in her mind to come out on top, until she simply took the deal for granted.

She began to unbutton her clothes, but since she could only use one hand, it was a slow process.

Sheng Qianmo didn’t move. The chill in his gaze never wavered as he took in the image of her undressing. His eyes were indifferent.

Shu Nuan finally managed to take off half of her clothing. Sheng Qianmo gently held down her hand, stopping her from removing her clothes any further.

Shu Nuan looked up at him.

Sheng Qianmo also looked down at her with a straight face.
