Master Meow - Chapter 75
Chapter 75: Combing the Giant Cat
Lu Qiu found the giant cat sleeping heartily after giving him a massage for a while.
And so, she let go of her hand and began to comb his fur lightly. Maybe because of the comb’s teeth touching his skin, the giant cat’s limbs would occasionally twitch. Whenever this happens, Lu Qiu would simply stretch her free hand out and stroke his fur to calm him down. Afterward, she would then continue on brushing his fur again.
When Ruth brought their breakfast inside, he saw this breathtaking scene.
Due to his surprise, his expression blanked, and his hand, which was holding the dishes, loosened— almost letting the dish fall to the ground. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and caught it on time.
Standing on the windowsill for a long time, Ruth didn’t know how he got in.
My Lord, unexpectedly, is in the middle of combing his fur. Truly combing his fur! He wasn’t afraid and had even slept comfortably.
Ruth felt like he was dreaming. This scene was obviously abnormal and simply impossible.
For many years, he had also tried many times, but the result was still the same every time. And instead of improving, Wells’ fear of combs became even worse.
But now, he suddenly became fine with it overnight.
He then turned his eyes to Lu Qiu; his expression was extremely complicated. Yesterday, when Wells asked him to prepare a small room and bed for the pet, he thought that Wells was now finally getting tired of it and they were now about to drift apart.
It was totally fine to keep a pet, but there was no need for them to be so intimate like this. Always sticking together and indulging the pet so much could be very dangerous.
However, all of his speculations had been overturned today.
He was highly aware of how deep was the pet’s influence on Wells, and how important the pet was for his master.
I’m afraid he won’t be able to kill her in the future.
Ruth’s complexion darkened as he laid the dish on the table, staring at Lu Qiu’s every movement.
The live broadcast ball was still floating over Wells’ head. Ruth had no intention to appear on the camera, so he didn’t go over and didn’t utter a sound.
The comb was very wide and its handle was lengthy yet lightweight. Even if Lu Qiu could use it easily, it still took her a little bit of effort. For her to keep the same movement for a long time was very tiring. After all, she couldn’t exert too much strength on it, and she had to make sure that the comb wouldn’t touch Wells’ skin.
With her great effort, the fur on the giant cat’s back had now gotten really smooth— the everything-would-slip-down level of smooth. Only, there were still a few tugs once in a while because even after combing it, some parts were still knotted and were difficult to unwrap.
Lu Qiu dropped the brush down, moved her shoulders, did a deep breathing exercise, and turned her wrists. It was very tiring to groom such a big cat that even her forehead was now all covered with sweat. Her clothes also absorbed her sweat and was now practically sticking to her body.
She grabbed the clothes on her back and fanned it. She hardly felt cold in the daytime recently. Instead, it seemed to be getting hotter.
It’s not that Lu Qiu didn’t notice the panther’s arrival as she had already seen him when he first appeared on the windowsill. But after getting threatened twice, no matter how good-tempered she was, she still didn’t want to greet him.
As a result, she pretended that she didn’t see him and continued to immerse herself in doing her own thing.
Yes, she was being petty.
A large ball of cat fur was stuck on top of the comb. Lu Qiu collected the cat fur and found it to be as big as a basketball. The giant cat was shedding so much fur like this, and yet the fur on his body didn’t seem to thin out a little bit. It was still as thick as ever.
By the time she had finished combing the giant cat’s back, Ruth moved a little closer, staring deeply at her with his pale-yellow eyes.
But strangely enough, the panther only looked at her from far away, standing there and not daring to approach as if he was afraid of something.
Lu Qiu felt a little nervous. She held the cat’s fur ball vigilantly while trying to retreat.
Fortunately, the panther didn’t do anything this time. After watching her for a while, he turned then away and opened the roof to let the sunlight fall on Wells’ figure.
Knowing that Wells went out last night and didn’t return until the early morning, Ruth had no internet of waking him up at this time. In fact, this breakfast was prepared only for Lu Qiu.
Lu Qiu didn’t expect that Ruth would prepare breakfast for her after what had happened yesterday.
Ruth snorted from his nose, pushed the plate towards her, turned his head, jumped on the windowsill, and left.
Lu Qiu climbed up the table’s leg and saw that her breakfast was a fish– a dead raw fish. Looking at the degree of the fish rolling its eyes, Lu Qiu surmised that it had been dead for quite some time, and although it smelled a little fishy, it didn’t smell bad.
In addition to the fish, there was also a yellow fruit with an equally attractive smell. It’s just that…this yellow fruit, which was as big as a grapefruit, looked like a lemon.
Well, I really don’t like her. So, her breakfast is a dead fish and a sour lemon. Ruth thought. He purposely did it, thinking that she wouldn’t eat the food.
Lu Qiu touched her stomach. Although she had eaten some fruits and vegetables this morning, it was still not a proper food after all. Normal people couldn’t fill their stomach just by eating salad. She had also combed the giant cat, which consumed a lot of her physical strength. So now, she was really hungry.
Although she got such a perfunctory breakfast, she didn’t get angry at all. Instead, she gave Ruth a big smile and even wanted to thank him.
Fried fish with lemon juice, fishy yet delicious.

When Ruth showed up, the live broadcast ball didn’t catch him on cam, which was why the audience wasn’t completely aware that there was a third animal in the room. However, they could still guess it through the suddenly opened roof and the sound of the plate being put on the table.
When Lu Qiu went to the table to look at the food, the live broadcast ball also floated over, following hee. The viewers, too, immediately followed suit to see the food on her plate.
After seeing it clearly, most of the audience couldn’t help calling names again.
This type of fish was called scale fish. Its scale was very large and can be spread out to attack. The living fish was very fresh and even tastes very delicious, with white, smooth, and tender meat. However, this kind of fish would no longer taste good once it was dead. The meat would become loose as if one was chewing wax and became tasteless. Therefore, unless they were in a pinch, no one would ever like to eat a dead scale fish.
It’s too cruel for pets!
Moreover, the lemon fruit! It’s too sour to eat.
