Intense Love - Chapter 94
Chapter 94 – Playing Matchmaker
Listening to Liu Tingting words, Su Jinbei finally understood the great respect the people here had for Zhou Shiyun. Her Baby Zhou was actually someone with a cold exterior but a warm heart.
“Hey, Tingting, Miss Su, you’re all awake. Have you had breakfast?” Zhang Chao had just left his house and greeted the two when he saw them.
Su Jinbei laughed, “Dr. Zhang, you can just call me Jinbei.”
Zhang Chao laughed along with her, “Alright, then.”
“Dr. Zhang, have you eaten yet?” Liu Tingting asked from beside her.
“Yes.”
“Oh, then… where’s Xiaoyuan?”
“Xiaoyuan’s at home. He was throwing a tantrum looking for you just now.”
“Then just have him come find me.” Liu Tingting hurried to say.
“No need, no need. We can’t keep bothering you.”
“It’s no problem, I really like having Xiaoyuan around.”
Zhang Chao humbly smiled, “You should accompany Jinbei first. If Xiaoyuan makes a racket again, I’ll bring him out to find you.”
Liu Tingting nodded excitedly.
Zhang Chao left first since he had something to do. Su Jinbei’s eyes shifted between the two and finally stopped on Liu Tingting’s blushing face. “Oh, you like him?”
Liu Tingting felt her heart jump to her throat, “Huh? No, no. Seriously, no.”
Su Jinbei hooked her arm around Liu Tingting’s shoulders. “There’s no point in hiding your feelings if you like someone. If you like him, pursue him. What are you afraid of?”
Liu Tingting’s face reddened several shades. She fumbled for a long time before saying, “I don’t know if he likes me or not.”
“Oh, my God. Just ask him if you’re unclear, duh.” Su Jinbei remarked, “If I was like you, my Dr. Zhou would probably still be his old self right now.”
Liu Tingting furrowed her brows, “Huh?”
Su Jinbei regarded Liu Tingting as if she was a clueless junior she had to teach, “Zhang Chao seems like a really great person. Tingting, you can do this!”
Liu Tingting lowered her head, “I-I…”
“Don’t be scared, I’ll help you.”
At lunch time, Su Jinbei arrived at Zhou Shiyun’s place. She had originally planned to come earlier but she was afraid she might be in the way of his work.
“Baby Zhou.” Su Jinbei’s voice was clear and attracted the looks of everyone in the room. Lin Qingwei looked like his heart couldn’t handle it. Baby Zhou… She said Baby Zhou…
On the other side, Zhou Shiyun was checking a patient. He raised his head when he heard her voice, “You’re here?”
“Yep.” Su Jinbei clung onto him out of habit and hugged his arm, “Are you done with work?”
Zhou Shiyun coughed and took her aside, “Yeah.”
Su Jinbei clung on again and whispered secretively, “I have a question. Does Zhang Chao like anyone?”
Zhou Shiyun was confused, “What are you asking for?”
“Of course it’s to play matchmaker. Tingting likes him, I think they’re pretty suited for each other.”
Zhou Shiyun reached out and poked her forehead, “You worry wart.”
“I’m not a worry wart,” Su Jinbei curled her lips, “I’m being serious. Tingting said herself that she likes him but she’s shy and doesn’t dare to tell him.”
Zhou Shiyun chuckled, “So, what are you going to do?”
“You better bet I’ll teach her how to confess. Of course, before that, I still have to ask you if Zhang Chao has someone he likes. If he does, I’d feel bad for hurting such a kind girl.”
“No.”
“Hm?”
“Zhang Chao doesn’t have anyone he likes, he has always been alone.” Zhou Shiyun gave her a warning look, “Don’t go overboard.”
“Jeez, it’s only confessing. How can that go overboard?” Su Jinbei wondered, “Then pretend you have something and invite Zhang Chao here at night. Tingting and I need to prepare.”
Zhou Shiyun, “…”
“Just make something up. Um… just talk about incurable diseases.” Su Jinbei patted him on the shoulder, “Then that’s settled.”
She hurried to Lin Qingwei as she was afraid Zhou Shiyun would refuse, “Xiaowei, do you need help?”
“Jinbei, here…”
Zhou Shiyun watched her busy figure and shook his head helplessly, but in his eyes, there was a gentleness that even he himself hadn’t noticed.
Su Jinbei hurried back to Liu Tingting’s house after eating, “Come here. Let’s get you dressed up.”
Liu Tingting, “Ah… I don’t think there’s a need to.”
“It’s a must. Us girls should always be in our best appearance.” Su Jinbei pulled her and sat her down in front of the mirror.
Liu Tingting was someone who grew up in the mountains. She had never put on makeup so she had never seen the various kinds of cosmetics in Su Jinbei’s bag.
“What are all these…”
“This is foundation, lipstick and this one, eye shadow,” Su Jinbei explained while helping Tingting apply skincare. She was impressed that Liu Tingting’s skin was in such decent condition even without maintaining it.
“Done. Let’s apply foundation first.” Su Jinbei drew her makeup the best she could and taught Liu Tingting what to say while doing so.
