Guide the Villain Father to Be Virtuous - Chapter 54
Chapter 54: She Wants To Play (2)
She, Huo Xiaoxiao, even if tired to death, die outside, jump down, would never do such shameful things!
Remarkably, the next few days, the Huo Mansion, which would usually be full of Huo Xiaoxiao’s silvery laughter all day long, suddenly turned quiet.
Huo Xiaoxiao didn’t like to smile or run anymore.
The whole day, Huo Xiaoxiao, with a pair of unfamiliar eyes, bobbled up and down on the bed and crawled on the ground. If slightly dissatisfied with something, she would start to bawl.
Not only that, but she also didn’t like to talk with others anymore.
Once called her, she would come to you, to answer you joyfully, chat with you which was in reality just babbling two messy words, what she do all-day.
At first, Old Master Huo thought she was doing all this just to escape from classes, but as days passed, even the bodyguards started to feel something amiss. They asked him about what happened to their miss; why did she stop coming to them to chat like before?
Being questioned like this, Old Master Huo also felt that there really was something wrong. He informed Huo Suicheng about the matter.
Huo Suicheng, while staring at Huo Xiaoxiao who was currently biting the pacifier and making bubbles, said, “I know a famous child specialist. I will invite him for a checkup of Xiaoxiao.”
“Okay, please hurry!” Old Master Huo said nervously, “Don’t know what happened to my granddaughter. She is behaving so abnormally. Call that child specialist early and find the problem, so we can treat it before something wrong happens.”
The next day, when the child specialist came, he asked for some alone time with Huo Xiaoxiao. After half an hour, he came out of the room smiling and said, “The child is perfectly fine. There is nothing to worry.”
“Perfectly fine?” Old Master Huo asked doubtfully. Hearing his words, his eyebrows shot up, and, in a cold voice, he said, “How is my granddaughter fine? We can all clearly see that there’s something wrong with her. She used to run around the whole day. Though what she said was not very clear, it was still better than now. She would laugh at something or the other, was able to speak two sentences while chatting, but now… no running, laughing, and chatting. She only sits there or crawls.”
After hearing Old Master Huo, the child specialist smiled embarrassingly. He thought to himself, ‘Isn’t all this normal?’
Huo Suicheng noticed the specialist’s awkwardness. “Okay, thank you, Dr. Chen, for taking some time out to check my daughter. Let my driver send you back.”
“No, no… There’s no need to thank me; it’s my job, after all.”
After Dr. Chen left, Huo Suicheng glanced at Huo Xiaoxiao, who was crawling around the room. He entered the room and closed the door, blocking the only way out.
Bang!
Hearing the sound, Huo Xiaoxiao shuddered.
For a while, Huo Suicheng quietly watched her play, standing silently at the door with a straightened back.
He then walked over, sat in front of Huo Xiaoxiao, and just stared at her.
Huo Xiaoxiao, after quietly glancing at him, decided to ignore him and continued to bite her pacifier.
“Two days ago, you raised the white flag. Why don’t you understand anything today?”
“…” ‘Heroes don’t mention their bravery.’
“Huo Xiaoxiao, are you deliberately acting silly?”
Huo Xiaoxiao ignored him, as if she didn’t understand.
‘After accepting my white flag, you still called the teachers. So me doing or saying anything doesn’t matter anyway.’
“Are you angry because I invited the teachers, even after you surrendered?”
‘So, you know. Good.’
Seeing Huo Xiaoxiao ignoring him, Huo Suicheng pulled her over and took her pacifier from her mouth.
When Huo Xiaoxiao realized that her source of happiness was gone, she angrily raised her hand to snatch it away.
But Huo Suicheng, with his long arm, turned her efforts to naught. On top of that, he teasingly shook the pacifier in front of her. Huo Xiaoxiao was furious at his actions.
“It’s good for you to learn music to cultivate sentiment and Taekwondo to protect yourself. Although it’s too early to learn all this, for a smart child like you, it shouldn’t be a problem.”
