Chapter 48: Can Taking Back Your Own Things Count As Stealing? (2) 

The group of people returned to Huo Manor in a grandiose way. 

During the journey from the hospital to  home, Huo Xiaoxiao was unhappy and no one could make her laugh. 

——Until Huo Suicheng came back in the evening. 

He strode into the living room and saw his father sitting on the sofa, frowning and Huo Xiaoxiao who was playing with her toys. 

“Why did you discharge early?” 

Old Master Huo looked up at him. “I had nothing to do. I was done with all the examinations. Why should I stay at the hospital?” After that, he stood up. “Okay, wash your hands and get ready for dinner.” 

“Mmm.”
 

Looks like everyone has forgotten the violent argument that took place in the study yesterday. 

During the argument no one thought either of them was wrong. 

Even after calming down, the father and son will never admit that neither of them was at fault 

Even if Old Master was at fault, his way of apologizing was to just “eat”. 

And the way that the child lowered his head, that was the only way he could respond. 

The food on the dining table was steaming hot. But the sound of chopsticks colliding was inaudible. 

The atmosphere was really subtle. 

Huo Xiaoxiao took a closer look at the two people and separated out a small piece of green vegetable from the bowl. 

Huo Suicheng saw her fussy little tricks and gave her a look. 

Huo Xiaoxiao looked up and saw Huo Suicheng’s dissatisfaction being a  picky eater. She pursed her mouth and aggressively jammed the green vegetables on her fork.
 

Huo Suicheng felt that he was too harsh on her, but it was just a small piece of vegetables. If his daughter did not want to eat, she won’t. It’s no big deal. 

Thinking about it, he held his chopsticks to grab the vegetables in her bowl. 

Aware that her father’s chopstick was coming, Huo Xiaoxiao felt threatened. She took her spoon and lowered her head stuffing her face. 

Because of her actions, Huo Suicheng chopsticks stopped in mid-air. 

Old Master Huo was speechless. “What’s the matter? Eat slowly! ” 

Huo Xiaoxiao quickly finished her bowl of rice, the corners of her mouth were covered with rice grains. She looked at Huo Suicheng timidly. “Dad, I’m done eating, Xiaoxaio is behaving…” 

Her words seem to cause a misunderstanding. 

For a while, Old Master Huo  thought he heard wrong. “Xiaoxiao, what are you talking about?” 

Huo Xiaoxiao pouted, and she was angry, but she didn’t say anything, she didn’t cry, she just sobbed like she was being bullied and just looked at Huo Suicheng’s eyes with fear and timidly said. “Dad … Xiaoxiao is behaving .. .” 

In the end, her meaning was finally understood. 

Old Man Huo looked at Huo Suicheng, confused. “What’s the matter? What did you do while I was away?” 

“…”Huo Suicheng also looked at Huo Xiaoxiao unbelievably. 

Huo Xiaoxiao could not help but sobbed. 

Old Huo was furious, “Huo Suicheng! Talk, how could you bully Xiaoxaio! Did you scold her? Did you hit her?” 

“When did I…” 

“I tell you Xiaoxiao was unhappy the whole day.Huo Suicheng, Xiaoxaio’s only a year old. Even if she did something wrong, how can you beat her? ” 

“.. “Huo Suicheng answered back, “You’re being unreasonable, when did I hit her?” 

“Then why would she be so afraid of you if you did not hit or scold her?” 

Huo Suicheng was being accused of something he didn’t do. As soon as chopsticks were released, he raised his voice and angrily said, “Dad, you …” 

As soon as those words came out, he stopped. 

He couldn’t remember when was the last time the word “Dad” had been called out. 

Old Master Huo was also stunned. His angry face instantly calmed down and  turned his head uncomfortably. He took a paper towel to wipe the tears that fell on Huo Xiaoxiao. “Okay, don’t cry.” 

After that, he looked at Huo Suicheng again, “Come, sit down and eat. Xiaoxiao is still young, If she doesn’t understand, you should talk with her.” 

“Xaioxaio, tell grandpa. What did your father do? Grandpa is here don’t be afraid.” 

Huo Xiaoxiao looked at her grandfather helplessly, sobbing. “Dad, Dad wants Xaioxiao to be obedient. Just daddy….took Xiaoxiao bag. ” 

“Bag? What bag?”Old master Huo looked at Huo Suicheng. “What happened?”
