She only felt that two people eating at home was much more interesting than eating alone. In the past, she would not be able to finish the few dishes that she cooked. The ancient town was surrounded by water. The buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties were built along the river. It was the weekend and the streets were bustling with activity.

The two of them first checked into a historical courtyard house. The house was next to a small river, and the rooms were simple but clean. The decorations were exquisite, there was an open-air balcony on the second floor where they could bask in the sun and drink tea.

“The room you booked is not bad, it’s quite unique.” An Lan pushed open the window to look at the river outside.

Xu Baohan hugged her from behind. “Of course, if I don’t book a good room for our first trip, what if you don’t come out with me in the future?”

An Lan took a deep breath and leaned against him as she walked out. She felt an indescribable peace in her heart. Although she had just stayed in Europe for a period of time, the feeling of being alone and being with two people was still a little different.
