Chapter 80: Receiving Red Packets (3) 

After receiving it, with a squeeze of her fingers, she felt the outline of what was inside the thick packet and was suddenly so excited that her heart jumped. 

A red packet! It must be money! It looked so thick! 

Su Qiuzi looked at He Yu incredulously, who smiled at her and said, “New Year’s gift.” 

Judging by the thickness, there should be more than a hundred thousand of them. It was Su Qiuzi’s first time receiving a New Year’s red packet and upon receiving such a large sum of money, she couldn’t suppress her heart of excitement and asked, “When did you prepare this?” 

“It’s from my grandfather.” He Yu spoke. 

As soon as his words registered, the smile on the girl’s face fell and she took another look at the red packet. Despite feeling somewhat attached to it, she handed it back to him, saying, “Then your Grandpa must have given it to you. I feel uneasy taking it.” 

“Take it.” He Yu smiled lightly. “What’s mine is yours.” 

He had the right to say so. 

Su Qiuzi took the red packet back and became excited again. 

Entering their home, Su Qiuzi did a quick clean up then went to Miao Hualing’s house along with He Yu cheerfully. Once they arrived, Su Qiuzi received her first real red packet of money. She was touched and somewhat overwhelmed, while Miao Hualing remarked that even Junyin and He Yu were both given the red packet. She and He Yu were now married and she was automatically considered as her child, so she also had her share of the red packet money. 

As Su Qiuzi and He Yu were married, Miao Hualing not only said she was her child because of that reason, but she also really treated her as her own child. Su Qiuzi’s heart was touched and very warm. 

Su Qiuzi accepted it with a feeling of happiness. Coupled with how He Yu gave his share to her, Su Qiuzi experienced for the first time the taste of overnight riches. 

At Miao Hualing’s house, Su Qiuzi felt at ease and relaxed. Miao Hualing was gentle in nature and did not act like a senior in the slightest. After receiving the red packet, Su Qiuzi went to help in the kitchen again. After helping out in the kitchen a few times, though Su Qiuzi still didn’t know much, Miao Hualing didn’t mind it, so she just kept smiling and chatting with her as the food was being cooked. 

After the summer break, the second semester of her senior year began, and in the blink of an eye, Su Qiuzi was about to graduate. Miao Hualing talked to her about the things to do before graduation, as well as the preparations to be made after graduation, with meticulous patience and thoroughness. Su Qiuzi seriously listened. 

“This year’s graduates are also leaving school by the end of June or early July.” Miao Hualing smiled up, “Usually the job employment will start in late July, and it will be more than half a month then. In July, He Yu’s work isn’t very busy, so the two of you can go on a trip together.” 

After saying that, Miao Hualing laughed and said, “Yin Yin told me that after the winter break, He Yu said he would take you out to play. Where did the two of you go? ”

“Yeah.” Su Qiuzi replied with a smile. 

The soup in the pot boiled, so Miao Hualing turned down the heat and said, “The two of you are getting closer now. I’m glad. Not every pair of arranged marriages can get along as well as you guys.” 

“He Yu was more responsible than his father, and moreover he had a better personality than him, so it’s all fate that you met such a suitable person. I often tell He Yu to cherish it, and you should cherish it too.” 

Miao Hualing had always hoped that Su Qiuzu and He Yu would be able to go on forever, but destiny wasn’t something that could be grasped by simply cherishing it. Su Qiuzi recalled the event that took place yesterday, when Old Master He was so irritated that he was hospitalized. She felt a pang of guilt in her heart, but she refrained from saying anything to Miao Hualing. If she did, it might cause a conflict between Miao Hualing and He Fengjia. 

Su Qiuzi only responded with a smile and Miao Hualing chuckled as she turned back at the soup in the pot. The soup had been simmering for some time and the kitchen was full of rich aromas that lingered around it as well as its hot steam. 

Experiencing the fumes from the warmth of the kitchen, Su Qiuzi felt that this was the real feeling of home.
