Chapter 72: Another Crisis (1) 

Unlike Cai Jiayu, she seemed to be standing still in the same place. Su Qiuzi was feeling a bit cold in her heart. 

By the time the Spring Festival Evening celebration recording ended, it was already 1:00 a.m. She thought she had worked late enough, but He Yu was even later than her and was still working overtime. 

The holidays were approaching and there was a lot going on in the company. 

After all these days of work, her body was too exhausted despite the worries in her heart. Su Qiuzi went home and took a shower before falling into a deep sleep. By the time she woke up on the next day, it was already morning. 

It was the twenty-ninth day of the lunar month and the TV station had given the interns a holiday, so Su Qiuzi didn’t have to get up in a hurry. With an empty spot by her side, she deduced that He Yu should be up by now. Su Qiuzi raised her hand, patted it and, after doing it for a moment, she finally sobered up. Then she also got up from the bed. 

She wondered what it was like to go to work again, but when she went to the dining room, she bumped into He Yu, who was drinking water. 

He was dressed in a homely outfit and the sunlight hit him through the glass window, coating him with a soft layer. Seeing Su Qiuzi, He Yu smiled faintly and asked, “Did you sleep well?”
 

In fact, Su Qiuzi didn’t really sleep well, she was still a bit sleep-deprived and dazed. He Yu came back later than her last night and got up earlier than her today, but he somehow looked much more refreshed than her. 

“Hmm.” Su Qiuzi took the water he handed over, looked at the clothes on his body and asked, “Aren’t you going to work at the company today?” 

“The company is on vacation.” He Yu said, “Though there is still some work to be done, it will be fine to take care of it at home.” 

In the middle of his speech, the cell phone on his side rang. He Yu glanced down at Su Qiuzi, who still looked a bit disoriented. She had been busy with the recording of The Spring Night Party lately and she had had very little time off. 

Not picking up the phone right away, He Yu said to Su Qiuzi, “I’ve made a sandwich and warmed up the milk. You eat some first. If you still feel sleepy after eating, go back to bed and get some more sleep.” 

Satisfied that Su Qiuzi nodded, He Yu smiled tenderly, raised his hand and rubbed her hair. Then he picked up the phone and went back to his study. 

The temperature of the man’s palm passed through the hair to her scalp, both warm and reassuring. The two now got along exactly like a couple. After the last date in the ski track, He Yu would display a lot of small intimate acts towards her, either holding hands or touching her head and occasionally kissing her gently. 

Their relationship was drawing closer, yet Su Qiuzi felt like she was floating on a cloud. No one would be unconditionally nice to another person. 

Unless he loved her; however, He Yu certainly did not. 

Su Qiuzi finished her breakfast and He Yu was still busy at his desk. He was so focused when he was working that Su Qiuzi didn’t dare to bother him. After being busy for so many days, at first, Su Qiuzi still felt a bit uncomfortable after being idle.
 

Tomorrow was the 30th day of the Lunar New Year, Su Qiuzi thought to herself and decided to clean up the house while He Yu was working. 

The household would normally be cleaned up by a maid, but there weren’t a lot of things to be cleaned in their house. After tidying up for a while, Su Qiuzi went to the cloakroom. 

Soon it would be February and the weather would gradually warm up after the spring, so Su Qiuzi planned to tidy up the cloakroom and prepare spring shirts and coats for He Yu. 

When He Yu finished his work and returned to the dining room, Su Qiuzi was no longer there. He went back to his bedroom and the bed was neatly organized and empty. He glanced back toward the hall and called out to Su Qiuzi. 

He had just finished calling when her soft voice came from the cloakroom. Looking in that direction, He Yu walked over.
