Chapter 68: Good Memories To Engrave (2)
“I can always look at my husband, but later on I will no longer be able to look at you.”
In the elevator, both men laughed.
Xu Zhi promised to personally write the autograph with Lin Qing’s name on it. He would sign it at the meeting and, when the meeting was over, He Yu would bring it back to her. Su Qiuzi was so happy that after saying goodbye to Xu Zhi and He Yu, she went back to He Yu’s room first.
The elevator continued to go up, and Xu Zhi said to He Yu, “Miss Su is in such a bad situation in the Su Family that I thought her personality would be meek. I didn’t expect her to be so sweet and spirited.”
He Yu smiled lightly and said, “Her personality is quite adorable.”
“Do you like it?” Xu Zhi asked with a smile.
He Yu looked at him, then lowered his eyes and laughed lightly, saying, “Naturally.”
Not knowing his “liking”, Xu Zhi did not ask in detail, just laughed along.
By the time He Yu returned to his room from the meeting, it was already nine o’clock in the evening. He had just entered his room when Su Qiuzi came out of the bedroom to greet him. During his meeting, she had taken a shower and was now wearing a white robe.
Her skin was fair and plump and her dark hair was half-dried and hanging seductively over her shoulders. Seeing him return, her eyes lit up and she asked, somewhat embarrassedly, “Xu Zhi’s signature…”
“Check it out.” He Yu handed over a notebook, the one issued for the Chamber of Commerce meeting. On the title page, Xu Zhi signed his name and also wrote a personal autograph note with Lin Qing’s name on it.
Su Qiuzi took the notebook, looked at the autograph Xu Zhi wrote on it, and still felt like she was dreaming.
As she looked at the notebook, He Yu took off his suit coat and wore only a white shirt with a dark tie inside.
“You and Xu Zhi have known each other since we first met, huh?” Su Qiuzi put away her notebook and poured a glass of water for He Yu.
The suite in the clubhouse where the two were staying had soft lighting in the living room, casting a touch of tenderness across the man’s brow. Slowly uncuffing his shirt, he responded, “Well, he’s also a businessman, does Chinese restaurant catering, so the firm had a lot of deals with him. Eventually, we became friends and we even play basketball together sometimes.”
The six degrees of separation theory stated that any inhabitant of Earth could meet anyone in the world with a maximum of six or fewer mutual connections between them and another person. Be it through acquaintances, friends, or members of their family. Su Qiuzi used to have doubts about this, but now she didn’t. By becoming his wife, her circle had widened by more than a little bit.
Su Qiuzi stared at He Yu, remembering the last time he went to pick her up. He took her to the hospital to hang up an IV drip injection and they casually chatted about how she liked Xu Zhi. However, He Yu kept it in mind, not only preparing a Christmas present for her, but also arranged a meeting for her.
This man was so sweet, always wordlessly kind to her, such a feeling of soothing comfort that it was hard for any woman to contain it. Su Qiuzi’s heart was a little stirred for a moment, but she didn’t dare to take action.
When He Yu looked over, Su Qiuzi looked back, she smiled and said, “I seem to have misunderstood you.”
He Yu looked at her quietly and asked with a smile, “Misunderstanding about what?”
“It was during the call, I thought we were going to do it tonight…” Su Qiuzi’s words came to an abrupt end halfway through, her white face instantly turning red.
He Yu also remembered what she had said on the phone and he let out a light laugh as his eyelids lowered slightly. He stood up straight, his fingers gently hooking his tie and undoing his collar as he laughed huskily.
“No, you’re not mistaken.”
Having said that, He Yu knew that he had to take Su Qiuzi skiing the next day so he was more restrained that night. This abstinence was only relative to him, because Su Qiuzi was still had to beg for mercy. She whimpered and he kissed the corners of her eyes dry, soothing them softly, until Su Qiuzi was lost in his tenderness again.
The ski area at Qi Mountain was very large and there were different sections for different groups of people. Su Qiuzi was dressed in a purple and white ski outfit. With her ski poles in hand and her feet on her snowboard, she carefully skated around the training area with her hands holding the railing.
She had never skated through the snow. The soles of her feet were too slippery and Su Qiuzi’s limbs were so stiff that she could not fully detach them, fearing that she would fall down like the children in the kids’ area next door.
He Yu stood off to the side, dressed in a black and white ski suit, his limbs slender and his figure upright. No ski instructor was sought, he was teaching Su Qiuzi himself.
Su Qiuzi had just managed to slide forward a bit and she hurriedly held onto the railing, then she looked ahead with a heartfelt look, thankful for not falling over.
“Let go of your hands.” He Yu stood beside her. He did not wear glasses and his facial features were very well-defined in the reflection of the white ice. A pair of pitch-black eyes watched Su Qiuzi’s movements. Her movements just now were somewhat stiff, like a lifting puppet, somewhat clumsy to the point of being cute. He had a helpless smirk on his face as he said, “Don’t be afraid, didn’t you ride the horse pretty well last time?”
